2、Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers Disperse Blue 3 dye, chemically known as 1-methy lamino-bethanolami noanthraquinone a 2. 12、references cited herein (except for associated detail specification, specification sheets or MS standards), the text of this specification shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemptson has been obtained. 2 L

Material Safety Data Sheets for Dye, Disperse Blue 3 shall be prepared and submitted by the contractor as specified in Fed. Std. No. 313 (see 6.3). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.

16、Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor my use his own or any other facilities suitable for th

17、e performance of the inspection requirements speci- fied herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed

18、requirements . 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. All items must meet ail requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specific

19、ation shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all require- ments of the contract. Sampling in quality conformance does not authorize sub- mission of known efective material, either indicat

20、ed or actual, nor does it commit the Government to acceptance of defective niaterial. 3 Licensed by Information Handling ServicesDOD-D-51524 68 m 7777706 OL22LLb 7 m DOD-D-51524 (EA) 4.2 Quality conformance inspection. 4.2.1 Lotting, A lot shall consist of the Dye, Disperse-Blue 3 offered for accept

21、ance at one time which has been produced by one manufacturer, at one plant, from the same materials, and under essentially the same manufacturing conditions provided the operation is continuous. In the event the process is a batch operation (see 6.4), each batch shall constitute a lot. 4.2.2 Samplin

22、g. 4.2.2.1 For examination of packaging. Sampling shall be conducted in accor- dance with MIL-STD-105. 4.2.2.2 For test. Three representative specimens of approximately 200 grams (g) each shall be randomly removed from the lot or batch of dye offered for acceptance and shall be placed in separate cl

23、ean, dry containers labeled to identify the lot represented. 4.2.3 Inspection procedure. k.2.3.1 For examination of packaging. The sample unit shall be one filled and closed shipping container, ready for shipment. Sample containers shall be examined for the following defects using an AQL of 2.5 perc

24、ent defective: Contents per container not as specified Container not as specified Polyethylene liner or closure thereof not as specified (level B Container closure not as specified Container damaged or leaking Marking incorrect, missing, or illegible Desiccant not as specified or missing (level B on

25、ly) Unitization not as specified only 1 4.2.3.2 For test. Each sample specimen taken in 4.2.2.2 shall be tested as specified in 4.2.4. rejection of the lot represented. 26、y high purity grades of methanol and water suitable for liquid chromatography residue analysis. Prepare and measure the area of the chromatographic peaks of a standard Disperse Blue 3 dye solution (see 6.5) and a solution of the specimen as follows: Weigh to the nearest 0.1 milligram (mg) exactly 10

27、0.0 mg of the dye and transfer quantitatively to a.200-milli- liter (mL) volumetric flask. Dissolve the dye in a solvent consisting of 90 percent by volume of methanol and 10 percent by volume of water, mix thor- oughly, and dilute to 200 ml; with the solvent (this stock solution contains 0.5 4 a Li

Shipping containers shall be unitized in accordance with the applicable requirements of MIL-STD-147 except th

Contracting officers will identify those activities requiring copies of completed Material Safety Data Sheets prepared in accordance with Fed. Std. No. 313. The pertinent mailing addresses for sub- mission of the data are listed in appendix B of

45、 Fed. Std. No. 313. 6.4 Batch. Dye, Disperse Blue 3 of known purity for use in 4.2.4.1 may be obtained by authority of the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO). verification of its purity by authority of the PCO from Commander, U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Produ

For the purpose of determining conformance with this specification, an observed or calmlated value should be rounded off “to the nearest unit“ in the last right-hand place of figures used in expressing the limiting value, in accordance with the rounding-off method of ASTM E 29. 6.8 Colour Index. The Colour Index number of Dye, Disperse Blue 3 is C.I. 61505.
