The beans shall conform in every respect to the requirements for type, class, grade and when applicable, the special. grade described in the Wited States Standards for Beans. 3.2 Description of grades and special grades. The requirements for the grades and special grades of beans shall be in a

14、ccordance with the United States Standards for Beans. 3.2.1 Bfoisture. Standards for Beans. The moisture content of dry beans shall comply with the US 3.2.1.1 For Military agencies, for export shipment. Type B red kidney beans shall not contain more than 14 percent, by weight, moisture. when specifi

15、ed, type B red kidney beans shall contain not more than 18 percent, by weight, moisture (see 6.1). Alternatively, 3.3 Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. All deliveries shall conform in every respect to the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and regulations promulgated thereunder

Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. E

When specified (see 6 .l) , inspection of plants producing the product will be conducted upon the request of the contracting officer by the appropriate Government inspection agency. Award of contracts will be

Conformance of paper tape to basis weight requirements of 5.1.2.1, when used for pockets with sewn closures, shall be ascertained by examination of labe

25、ls or invoixes. 4.3.3.3 Paper pockets (not for ocean shipment). Basis weight of plies shall be ascertained by examination of pertinent invoices or other valid documents. 4.3.3.4 Testing of paper pockets (for ocean shipment). Paper pockets shall be tested for basis weight of plies in accordance with

When specified (see 6.1), the shipping container shall be reinforced in accordance with the appendix of PPP-B-636. by stitching, the waterproof case liner shall be protected from the stitching by inserting a 0.018-inch (0.46 mm) thick chipboard pad between the case liner and

38、the stitched flaps. The pad shall have dimensions equal to the interior of the shipping container, with a minus tolerance of not more than 3/16-inch (4.8 m). joint by covering the stitches with a strip of pressure-sensitive tape.
