In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes ap
19、plicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 DescriDtion. The bracket assembly or components shall be as shown on top assembly TA13207E9734 and as specified herein. 3.1.1 Drawinas. The drawings forming a part of this specification are end product d
20、rawings. No deviation from the prescribed dimensions or tolerances is permissible without prior approval of the contracting officer. Where tolerances could cumulatively result in incorrect fits, the contractor shall provide tolerances within those prescribed on the drawings to insure correct fit, as
21、sembly, and operation of the bracket assembly. Any data (e.9. shop drawings, layouts, flow sheets, processing procedures, etc.) prepared by the contractor or obtained from a vendor to support fabrication and manufacture of the production item shall be made available, upon request, for inspection by

For the purpose of this requirement, recovered materials are those materials which have been collected from sol id waste and reprocessed to become a source o

The bracket assembly or components, as applicable, shall be metal-die stamped as shown on the applicable drawing. Die stamping shall be legible after painting. 3.6 -t. The bracket assembly or components, as applicabl
30、e, with the exception of the pin assembly and the bridge pin retainer assembly, shall be cleaned, treated, and painted in accordance with MIL-T-704, type F. Exterior topcoat shall be camouflage green 383. 3.7 Stencilinq. The nomenclature, National stock number, weight, and cube Markings shall be Got
31、hic-type capital s and Arabic numerals 1/2 shall be stenciled on each bracket assembly. The letters “NET WT“ shall precede the numerals in the weight and letters “CU“ shall precede the cubic displacement. inch high. Stenciling shall conform to MIL-T-704. 3.8 Workmanshi D. 3.8.1 Steel fabrication. St
32、eel may be cut by shearing, sawing, or flame cutting. Burned surfaces of flame-cut material shall be ground or machined to remove cooling checks. Holes shall be drilled to full size or drilled under- size and reamed to full size through steel templates. All burrs shall-be removed. 3.8.2 Welders and
33、weldinq. 3.8.2.1 Welders or weldinq ooerator. Before assigning any welder or welding operator to manual welding work covered by this specification, the contractor shall obtain certification that the welder or welding operator has passed qualification tests as prescribed by either AWS D 1.1 or the AS
34、ME code for the materials joined and the type of welding operation to be performed and that such qualification is effective as defined. Contractors who only make horizontal welds need not qualify welders for “all position welding“. The contractor is responsible for determining that automatic welding
35、 equipment operators are capable of producing quality welds in accordance with AWS and ASME codes. the right to require retesting of any welder or welding operator (see 6.5). In the event of evidence of poor welds, the Government reserves 8 3.8.2.2 Weldinq. The surfaces of parts to be welded shall b
36、e free from scale, paint, grease, and other foreign matter. Welding shall be done by the shielded metal-arc or gas metal-arc (MIG) process and shall conform to the provisions of ASME or AWS Code. All welded parts shall be free from cracks and other imperfections that may reduce the effectiveness of

38、e removed and the deposit and adjoining base metal shall be wirebrushed clean. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Resoonsibilitv for InsDection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements (examinatio
39、ns and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the r
40、ight to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1 ResDonsi bi 1 itv for comDl i ance. Al 1 i tems must meet al 1 requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection
41、set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Gover
42、nment for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operat ions , i s an acceptabl e practice to ascertai n conformance to requirements, however, this does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, n
43、or does it commit the Government to acceptance of defect i ve materi al . 4.1.2 ComDonent and material inmection. The contractor is responsible for insuring that components and materials used are manufactured, examined, and tested in accordance with referenced specifications and standards, as appl i
44、 cab1 e. 4.1.3 Parts and comDonents. Parts and components detailed on the drawings shall be inspected in accordance with the quality assurance provisions (QAP) shown on the drawings. The drawings specify the characteristics requiring QAP inspection, the sampling plan, and the basis for acceptance an

The first article bracket assembly or components, as applicable, shall be examined for the defects specified in 4.5.1. one or more defects
