REQUIREME
7、NTS 3.1 Materials. The wire used to manufacture the clamps shall conform to steel composition number 1010, finish 4, class 1 of QQ-W-461. All other materials shall conform to the requirements on the applicable drawing. 3.2 Manufacture. The clamps shall be manufactured in accordance with the applicab
8、le drawing (see 6.2) and the requirements of this specification, 3.3 Tensile strength. The tensile strength of the brazed or welded joint shall be no less than 90 pounds when tested as specified in 4.2.4. When the joint is at the alternate location, the tensile strength of the clamp or joint shall b
9、e no less than 180 pounds. 3.4 Protrusion of braze or weld. The protrusion of the braze or weld due to mis- alignment of the ends of the wire or excess braze or weld metal, shall be no more than one-sixty-fourth of an inch beyond the normal surface of the wire. 2 -_ . The clamp shall be free from any abraded, bent or burred metal sections or foreign matter (dirt, oily or viscous material). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVI
11、SIONS 4,l Responsibility for inspection. 4.1 1 Suppliers responsibility. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own f
12、acilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Govern- ment. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure suppl es and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.2 bjective evi

The supplier shall provide objective evidence acceptable to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and Section 5 for Which specific inspection-has not been provided in this specification have been satisfied. 4.2 Regular production 4.2,l Lotting. Sampling shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.2.2,2 For destructive tests. Sampling shall be conducted in accordance wi
15、th MIL-STD-105, Level S-4. 4.2.3 Inspection. 4.2.3.1 For examination. Sample clamps shall be examined in accordance with the classification of defects and MIL-STD-105, 4.2.3.2 For destructive tests. Sample clamps shall be tested in accordance with 4.2.4 and MIL-STD-105 using an AQL of 1 .O percent d

The tensile strength of the brazed or welded joint shal
18、l be determined in accordance with method 211.1 of FED-STD-151. If the braze or weld is made at the alternate location (see applicable drawing), the strength of the braze or weld shall be tested by inserting a mandrel in the end loop of the clamp which includes the braze or weld then attaching the m
19、andrel to one iaw of the testing machine. The other end of the clamp shall be held in the other iaw. The radius of the mandrel used shall be the same as the inside radius of the loop at the end of the clamp, 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging, level C. The wire clamps shall be packaged to pro
20、vide adequate protection against corrosion, deterioration, and damage from the supply source to the first receiving activity for immediate use. 5.2 Packing, level C. The wire clamps, packaged as specified in 5.1, shall be packed to insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to the first domestic de
21、stination. Containers shall be in compliance with Uniform Freight Classification rules or the regu- lations of other common carriers appl icable to the mode of transportation. 5,3 Marking, In addition to any special marking required by the contract or order, unit and intermediate packages and shippi
