When specified, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.3, 6.2, and 6.3). 3.2 Materials. All material

13、s shall conform to the documents subsidiary to the drawings listed in section 2 and to the requirements specified herein. Recycled material may be used (see 6.4). r 3.3 Construction. Construction and assembly shall be as specified herein and on the drawings listed in section 2. applicable requiremen

14、ts of ASME B 20.1. The conveyor shall conform to the 3.3.1 Weldment. The aluminum frame weldment, as specified in Drawing 11-1-590, shall be fabricated by the inert-gas, tungsten-arc welding process and shall conform to the requirements applicable to class 3 weldments as specified by MIL-W-22248, ex

Six conveyors, with coupling assemblies fully recracted and secured into the frame assemblies, shall be

32、 stacked flat in a enupfitting shipping container conforming Eo type II, style A of MIL-C-52950. Each alternate conveyor in the stack shall be offset to permit nesting of the rollers within the container. The applicable anchoring, closing and strapping requirements epecified in the appendix of MIL-C

33、-52950 shall apply. Each container aha11 be fitted with skids fabricated from nominal 3 by 4 inch lumber laid flat extending the full width of the container and positioned under each bottom crass member. The end of each skid shall be beveled one-half its thickness at: a 45 degree angle and notched t

34、o provide clearance or the girthwiee scrapping. Each skid shall be secured to the container by nailing through the bottom cross member into the skid. The nail points shall not: grratrude through the bottom surface of the skid. The nails shall be arranged in two rows in a staggered pattern, with spac

35、ing between nails in each row not: nore than 6 inches. In addition to any special marking required by the contract or purchase order, shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-

37、STD-129 or ASTM D 3951, as applicable. * 5.2.1 Special marking. Each container shall be marked in accordance with the applicable marking requirements specified in MIL-C-52950. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The high capacity roller conveyor is intended for use in support of airborne operations and other

38、 load conveying applications involving loads not exceeding 1000 pounds per linear foot when the conveyor is supported at 30-inch intervals along the side rails. The conveyor is modular with provision for coupling. x 6.2 Ordering data. Acquisition documents should specify the following: a. Title, num

39、ber, and date of this document. b. c. Number and location of rollers if other than specified d. Selection of applicable level of packing (see 5.1).
