The printing shall be legible, non-fading and durable. 3.1.2 Components. All components of the calculator shal
10、l conform to the specifications and drawings I isted on Drawing DL5-86-3 and subsidiary drawings. 3.2 Manufacture and assembly. The calculator shall be manufactured and assembled in accordance with Drawing C5-86-3. 3.3 Functioning. The calculator, when tested in accordance with 4.3.4, shall be capab

Prior to the start of regular production, a preproduction sample of ABC-M2 calculators shall be produced in accordance with this specifi- cation -
13、for examination and test (see 4.2). 3.5 Workmanship. The calculator shall be free from imperfections such as pits, bumps, cracks, flash, abrasions, blisters, holes or porous areas and foreign matter (dirt, grease or oil). All surfaces shall be smooth and laminations shall be uniform without unsealed

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. 4. i. 1 Suppliers responsibility. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier i
15、s responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Govern- ment. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth
16、in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure suppl ies and services conform to specified requirements. 4.1.2 Obiective evidence. The supplier shall provide obiective evidence acceptable to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1 and section 5 for which spec
17、ific inspection has not been provided in this specification have been sat i sf i 8 d . 4.2 Preproduction. 4.2.1 Sample. A preproduction sample of five completely assembled ABC-M2 calculators and five unassembled.ABC-M2 calculators shall be manufactured using the same methods, materials, equipment an
18、d processes as will be used during regular produc tion. 4.2.2 Examination and nondestructive test. The components of the five unassembled calculators shall be examined for all the requirements of the drawings. The five assembled calculators shall be examined and tested in accordance with the classif
19、i- cation of defects (4.3,3.2). 4.2.3 Acceptance/rejection criteria. The preproduction sample shall comply , with the examinations and tests specified in 4.2.2 to be acceptable. -4.3 Regular production. 4.3,l Lotting. A lot shall consist of the ABC-M2 calculators produced by one manufacturer, at one

Sampling s

Align dosage (D) with windspeed (U). - Rotate wing scale until it aligns with source strength(Q). Read the downwind dis
25、tance where the specified vertical temperature gradient curve and the downwind distance line intersect. Rotate the swing scale until it intersects the other tempera- ture gradient curve at the same reading as previously determined. Read the cloud width where the swing scale intersects. Check for com
26、pliance with table I as appl icable. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging. Level shall be as specified (see 6.2). 5.1.1 Level A. The calculator, placed within its case, shall be individually packaged in accordance with method IC-3 of MIL-P-116. Prior to bag closure, a fiberboard filler the same
27、 size as the outside dimensions of the calculator case and conforming to type CF, class domestic, variety SW, grade 125 of PPP-F-320 shall be inserted in each bag to act as a stiffener. 5.1 . 2 Level C. The calculator, placed within its case, shall be packaged to provide adequate protection against
28、deterioration and physical damage from the supply source to the first receiving activity for immediate use. 5.2 Packing. Level shall be as specified (see 6.2). 5.2.1 Level A, One hundred calculators, fjackaged as specified in 5,l. 1, shall be packed within an overseas type cleated-plywood box confor
29、ming to PPP-6-601 . Cushioning material, conforming to type II, class A of PPP-C-843, shall be used to fill all voids within the box. The box shall be closed and strapped in accordance with the appendix of PPP-B-601 . Galvanized strapping shall be used . 5.2.2 Level B. One hundred calculators, packa
30、ged as specified in 5.1 1, shall be packed in a VC, style RSC fiberboard box conforming to PPP-6-636. In addition to box closure requirements, the box seams and manufacturers joint shall be taped. One hundred calculators, packaged as specified in 5.1.2, shall be packed to insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to the first domestic destinati
32、on. Containers shall be in compliance with Uniform Freight Classification rules or the regulations of other common carriers applicable to the mode of transportation. 5.3 Marking. In addition to any special marking required by the contract or order, unit packages shall be marked in accordance with MI
33、L-STD-129. Shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with Drawing D15012-1. 6, NOTES 6,l Intended use. This calculator is intended for use in calculating downwind hazard of chemical agents. 6.2 Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the following: (a) Title, number and date of t
34、his specification. (b) Level of packaging and packing required. (c) Preproduction: (1) Time allowed for supplier submission of samples for Government (2) Name and address of test facility and shipping instructions (3) Time allowed for the Government to notify the suppli,er whether test and evaluatio
