3、TION This Specification is approved for use within the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers the requirements, quality assurance provisions and packaging

Materials and parts shall be with applicable drawings and specifications. in accordance 3.2 Components. The components shall comply with all
13、require- ments specified on drawings 9390375, 9390367, 939“377 or 12631091 and the drawings and specification referenced thereon. 3.3 Water absorption. Water absorption of the polyethylene foam parts, at time of packing, shall not exceed 0.08 pounds per square foot of cut surface when tested in acco
14、rdance with PPP-c-1752. 3.4 First article inspection. This specification contains technical provisions for first article inspection Requirements for the submission of first article samples by the contractor shall be as specified in the contract. 3.5 Workmanshie. The components shall be regular, smoo
15、th and free from any creases, wrinkles, cracks, rips, tears, dirt and any other defect which might offset the servicability, durability, safety and appearance of the assembly. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection . Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase o
16、rder, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified he
17、rein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Unless otherwise specified herein or in the c
18、ontract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this specification. 3 -. 19、items must meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring th
20、at all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all the requirements of the contract. Sampling in quality conformance does not authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to acceptance of defective

The cushion components shall be marked in accordance with ASTM-D-3951 and the following addit ional instruc- tions. -Commercial shipping t
38、ags attached with wire shall be used unless otherwise specified. The following information shall be shown: Item name and model number, part number and revision, contract number, lot number and date, name and address of manufacturer. if components and assemblies are bundled, boxed or palletized, the
39、gross weight and quantity shall be included. The above information may be placed on pallets or boxes by labeling or stenciling. 5.4 Shipping. When cushion components from more than one lot are shipped at one time, each lot shall be kept separate and the division between lots clearly indicated to pre
40、vent mixing lots in trans it . 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. These cushion components are intended for use as the interior packaging and cushioning for the 120MM. Tank Car tr idg e s. 6.2 Ordering-data. See MIL-A-48078. 6.3 Definition of packaqing and packing levels. 6.3.1 Level A. Full Military protec
41、tion, for unrestricted (OCONUS) shipment and storage 6.3.2 Level B. Limited Military protection for limited storage and (OCONUS) shipment. 6.3.3 Level C.
