Inspection lots shall comply
12、with the lot formation provisions of MIL-A-48078, A lot shall consist of cartridge cases manufactured by one manufacturer In one unchanged process in accordance with the same drawings and drawing revisions and the same specification and specification revisions. Each inspection lot shall consist of p
13、rimers and cartridge cases from one interfix number from one manufacturer. 4.4,2 Examination. See MIL-A-48078. a. Samplinq plans. Unless otherwise specified in the Classification of Defects and Test Tables, sampling plans and procedures for major and minor defects shall be in accordance with MIL-STD
14、-105t Inspection Level II. primed cartridge case shall be tested by the contractor for electrical resistance subsequent to primer crimping and waterproofing, using the method of 4.5.1. The inspection equipment required to perform the examinations and tests prescribed herein is descr
18、ibed in paragraph 4.4.2.1 under the Inspection Method column. The contractor shall submit for approval inspection equipmnt designs in accordance with the terms of the contract. See “-3ction 6 of MIL-A-48078 and paragraph 6.3 herein. 4.5 Methods of inspection. 4.5.1 Electrical -resistance of primed c
19、ase (M52A3Bl. primer only). The primed case shall be tested for the applicable requirement using Government approved equipment and circujtry specified on Dwg. 11075284 to measure the resistance of the primer. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Preservation and packaginq. 5.1.1 Level B. (See 5.2.1.). 5.2 Pack inq . 5.
20、2.1 Level B. The cartridge cases shall be packed in accordance with Dwg. 9386921. 5.2.2 Unitized loads. a. Palletization shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-147. b. For CONUS or interplant shipment, commercial expendable pallets, 40“ x 48“ (4 way) may be used in lieu of those specified in 5.2.2.a. W
21、eight capacity of the pallet selected shall be adequate for the load. Gross weight of load shall not exceed 1500 pounds and height, including Pallet, shall. not exceed 41 inches. 5.3 Marking. Marking shall be in accordance with Dwg. 0386921. 5.4 Shipping. When cartridge cases from more than one lot
22、are shipped at one time each lot shall be kept seDarate and the division between lots clearly indicated to prevent mixina of the lots in transit. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use.
