This specification covers the loading, assembling and packing for one type of demolition kit designated as Charge, Demolition, Shaped, 15 lb. M2A4. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General. Unless otherwise noted herein or in the contract, in the event of a conflict between the text
14、 of this document and the references cited, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified in the contractual document or purcha
15、se order (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection in accordance with 4.2. 3.1.1 Radiographic examination. Radiographic examination in accordance with 4.3.3.3 shall be conducted on first article samples that are to be subjected to the Functioning Test, prior to the execution
16、 of the Functioning Test in accordance with Table II. Radiographic examination data shall not be used to accept/reject this system. 3.2 Conformance inspection. A sample of M2A4 shaped charges shall be subjected to conformance inspection in accordance with 4.3. 3.3 Material. Materials and parts shall
17、 comply with drawings cited in 4.3.2.1 4.3.2.9. 3.3.1 Specific gravity of booster. The specific gravity of the booster shall be minimum 1.50 when tested in accordance with 4.3.3.1. 3.3.2 Average weight of loading assemblies. The average weight of the loading assemblies shall be not less than 10.1 lb
18、s when tested in accordance with 4.3.3.2 (Minimum 10 lbs of Comp B plus 48 grams of booster material). 3.4 Assemblies. The assemblies shall comply with all requirements specified on 8861565, and with all requirements specified in referenced specifications. 3.5 Functioning test. The loaded 15 lb Shap
19、ed Charge shall detonate high order when initiated by a M6 or M7 blasting cap or equivalent military initiation device. 3.6 Workmanship. All parts and assemblies shall be clean and free of explosive on exterior, chips, cracks, crazes, dirt, grease, rust, corrosion products, and other defects and for
20、eign matter which would affect their serviceability. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any part or assembly nor shall the cleaning agent contaminate them. Exterior surface coatings shall be continuous except for a few light scratches not exposing the base material. All required mark

The verification requirements specified herein are classified

When specified, a sample of the shaped charge and subcomponents shall be subjected to first article inspection in accordance with provisions of 4.2.2 and Table II. 4.2.2 Inspec
25、tions to be performed. The first article samples shall be subjected to all of the examinations and tests specified in Table II. 4.2.2.1 Rejection. Any test unit which fails to detonate high order shall be classified as defective. 4.3 Conformance inspection. 4.3.1 Inspection lot formation. Inspection lots
30、 shall comply with the lot formation provision of MIL-STD-1916. In addition, inspection lots of loaded shaped demolition charges shall contain: a. Parts or part assemblies from not more than one lot interfix number from one manufacturer. b. Composition B of the same grade from one lot interfix numbe
31、r from one manufacturer which contains TNT from not more than one lot interfix number from one manufacturer. c. Composition A-3 from not more than two lots from one manufacturer. 32、erial submitted for inspection in accordance with this specification shall comply with the homogeneity criteria specified herein regardless of the type of sampling procedure which is being applied to determine conformance with requirements. Lot numbering, as required, shall be in accordance with MIL
33、-STD-1168. 4.3.2 Examination. Unless otherwise specified in the Conformance Inspection, sampling plans for major and minor defects shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-1916, Verification Level IV for Major defects and Verification Level II for Minor defects.
