SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers the loading, assembling and packing for one type of demolition kit d

Nothing in this document, however, supercedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obt
15、ained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First Article. When specified, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection in accordance with 4.2. 3.1.1 Radiographic examination. Radiographic examination, in accordance with 4.3.3.3 and 6.5, shall be conducted on First Article samples that are to be subjected
16、 to the Functioning Test, prior to the execution of the Functioning Test (see Table II). Radiographic examination data shall not be used to accept/reject this system. 3.2 Material. Materials, parts and assemblies shall comply with all requirements specified on the applicable drawings and referenced
17、specifications. 3.3 Assemblies. The assemblies shall comply with all requirements specified on applicable drawings and with all requirements specified in the applicable specifications. 3.4 Functioning Test. The loaded assembly shall function satisfactorily as evidenced by high-order detonation of th
18、e charge and penetration of a target of Rolled Homogeneous Armor (RHA) in accordance with MIL-A-12560, Class 1 or 2. The RHA target shall be of a size not less than four inches total thickness and surface area not less than 144 square inches, with any number of plates to make up that size. The penet
19、ration hole in the plate shall exhibit no evidence of double- or multi-jets. This test shall be performed as specified in 4.3.3.4. 3.5 Workmanship. Loading and assembling shall be accomplished in a thorough workmanlike manner. All parts and assemblies shall be clean and free of explosive on exterior
20、, chips, cracks, crazes, dirt, grease, rust, corrosion products, and other defects and foreign matter which would affect their serviceability. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any part or assembly nor shall the cleaning agent contaminate them. Exterior surface coatings shall be con
21、tinuous. All required markings shall be neat and sharply defined. 24、) 4.2 First article inspection. 4.2.1 Submission. When specified, a first article sample shall be submitted for evaluation in accordance with the provisions of 4.2.2 and Table II. 4.2.2 Inspections to be performed. As determined by the Government, the first article samples may be subjected to any or
25、 all of the examinations and tests specified in the specification and inspected for compliance with any or all of the requirements of this specification and applicable drawings, including all unlisted characteristics. 4.2.2.1 Rejection. The first article sample shall be rejected if any of the inspec
26、tions/tests fail to meet specification or drawing requirements. The term “inspection lot“ as used in this specification is define
31、d as an essentially homogeneous collection of units of product from which a representative sample is drawn and inspected to determine conformance with applicable requirements. The sample selected shall represent only that quantity of units from which the sample was drawn and shall not be construed t
32、o represent any prior or subsequent quantities presented for inspection. Homogeneity shall be considered to exist provided the inspection lot has been produced by one manufacturer in one unchanged process, in accordance with the same drawing, same drawing revision, same specification and same specif
33、ication revision and complies with the provisions for submission of product as specified in MIL-STD-1916. Changes to the process, specification, or drawing not affecting safety, performance, interchangeability, or storage, as determined by the Government, shall not be deemed to alter the homogeneity
34、 of an inspection lot. All material submitted for inspection in accordance with this specification shall comply with the homogeneity criteria specified herein regardless of the type of sampling procedure which is being applied to determine conformance with requirements. Lot numbering, as required, s
35、hall be in accordance with MIL-STD-1168. Each inspection lot of loaded charge assemblies shall contain: a. Parts from not more than one lot interfix number from one manufacturer. b. Composition B of the same grade from one lot interfix number from one manufacturer which contains TNT from not more th
36、an one lot interfix number from one manufacturer. c. Composition A-3 of the same grade from one lot interfix number from one manufacturer. 4.3.2 Examination. Unless otherwise specified in the Conformance Inspection, sampling plans for major and minor defects shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-1916,
