30、0“ to 30C (68“ to 86“F), as follows: 4.4.6.1 Container fill. Weigh the container before and after filling to determine fill weight. 4.4.6.2 Chemical and physical characteristics of DS2. Take a 1-liter specimen of DS2 from the filled fluid container and immediately test in accordance with the tests f
31、or Chemical and physical characteristics requirements specified in MIL-D-50030 (see 6.4). 4.4.6.3 Leakage. Place the filled closed container, without coupling cap and heat shrink- able tubing, on a side under water in a vacuum chamber so that no more than 1-inch of water covers the container (see 6.
32、6). The water shall contain phenolphthalein (0.5 percent by weight phenolphthalein in methanol diluted to 10 milliliters of methanol per liter of water having a pH of 6.5 to 7.5). The filled container and water shall be at ambient temperature. Reduce the pressure in the vacuum chamber to 87 millimet
33、ers of mercury or less absolute. Hold the vacuum for at least 1-minute and observe the seams and threaded areas of the container for bubbles and pink coloration of the water. Any bubbles or pink coloration of the water at the seams or threaded areas of the container shall be considered evidence of l

Secure the top reservoir or the container assembly and apply the specified static load uniformly over the handle for the specified time. Examine lifting handle and top-reservoir, or lifting handle and con

Attach a source of hydrostatic pressure into the container through a fitting and apply the specified hydrostatic pressure for the specified time. Note: The container sides may be s
36、upported in a fixture during this test. See 6.7 for precautions regarding high pressure. 4.4.6.4.3 Leakage. With the fluid container openings sealed and with the specified air pressure introduced into the container through a fitting, submerge the container in water con- taining a wetting agent to a
37、depth of no more than 3 inches below the surface for the specified time and observe for leakage. A steady stream of bubbles shall be an indication of leakage. 4.4.6.4.4 Drop strength. Fill the container with water and seal in accordance with note 4, Drawing 5-51-575. Drop the container as specified

DS2 is classified as a corrosive liquid as it contains sodium hydroxide and diethylenetriamine which ar

DS2 is a toxic chemical with an ammonia-like odor and should be handled in a well ventilated environment and with appropriate protective clothing and equipment (Le. corrosive resistant gloves, boots, apron, an industrial faceshield or splash- proof chemical goggles, and full fac
49、epiece respirator with amine cartridge). Use copious amounts of water for eye or skin contact. If DS2 is ingested, administer as much milk or water as possible, but do not induce vomiting. Spills should be neutralized with sodium bisulfate, absorbed with vermiculite and containerized as quickly as possible. Fires involv- ing DS2 can be extin
