REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. Requirements for

Dimensions and tolerances of parts and assemblies of th

Interpretation of the dimensions and tolerances shall be in accordance dth ANSI - n4.5. 3.2.3 Surface texture. applicable drawings. be as defined in ANSI 46.1. The parts and assemblies shall be painte as I specified on the draw3ng and in accordance with MuSTD-l7l. The visible surfaces of attaching hardware (nuts, screus, washers, etc.), exposed u

12、n- painted surfaces of mounting faces, or blemished azeas shall be primed and painted to match surrounding surfaces after final assenibly. To avoid necessity of painting exposed surfaces of cadmium plated hardware (in- cluding screws, nuts, and washers), the hasdware may be dyed with a supple- menta

13、ry chrotnate finish, Olive Drab 24087 of Federal Standard 595 (see 6.3.2). 3.2.5 Welding. Interpretation of weld symbols specified on the applicable drawings shall be as defined in AWS A2.0. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for

29、the per- formance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or order, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspec- tion requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. Fne

30、 Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.2 Quality assmance terms and definitions. Quality assurance terms and definitions used her

31、ein are in accordance with MIL-STD-109. 4.3 Classification of inspection. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. b. First article inspection (see 4.4). Quality conformance inspection ( see 4.5). 4.4 First article inspection. The first article (initial prouc- tion

32、unit(s) shall be submitted for inspection in accordance with the contract (see 6.2). production processes to be used during quantity production.
