9、smaUerthan the minimum spacing shsUhave the suspension provisions located atthe outer edge of the item. It is desired that the provisions be located as far apart as possible withinthe above limits.The plane of the suspension eye shaUbe in the Iongitudmrd vertical plane of the load or itsaPPro*ate al

These provisions are applicable if platforms are not available forextraction.5.3.1 Use of existinsrcompo
12、nents. Standard vehicle pintles, suspension provisions, tow barattachments, etc., may be used as extraction provisions if they meet the detailed requirements. Non-welded attachment of the extraction provision to the item is preferred.5.3.2 Low velocitv airdrorI (LVAD). A single airdrop extraction pr
13、ovision is required forairdrop items having an airdrop weight of more than 14,500 pounds.MS 51118 can be used for extracting aUloads with an airdrop weight of up to 34,236pounds, provided attachments meet strength criteria.5.3.2.1 Dimensional requirements.
