SCOPE 1.1 Scope, This document covers water repellent sateen trousers wi

2、th leg .rgo pockets. 1.2 Classification, The trousers shall be one type in the following classes and sizes (see 6.2). When specified in the contract or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.3, 6.2 and 6.4). 3.3 Material. 3.3.1 Basic material. 3.3.1.1 C

19、lass 1. The basic material for class 1 shall be cotton and nylon, water repellent, sateen, Olive Green 107, conforming to class 2 of MIL-C-43191. 3.3.1.2 Class 2. The basic material for class 2 shall be cotton and nylon, water repellent, sateen, Woodland Camouflage, conforming to class 3 of MIL-C-43

20、191. 3.3.1.3 Cloth for pockets, linings, and facings. The cloth for tiie side and hip hanging pockets, compass pocket, left fly and right fly lining, waistband lining and cargo pocket facings shall be basic material, ground shade cloth, dyed seconds or printed seconds cloth. conformance with class 3

21、 of MIL-C-43191 for the class 2 trousers, prior to overprinting of the camouflage pattern. The ground shade cloth shall meet the applicable basic material physical, mechanical, and dimensional requirements. Dyed seconds shall be cloth which has been rejected only for defects cited in MIL-C-43191 per

22、taining to class 2 and the color and shade shall approximate OG-107 for use in the class 1 trousers. Printed seconds shall be cloth which has been rejected only for defects pertaining to color, infrared reflectance, or camouflage printed patterns cited in MIL-C-43191 for class 2 trousers. If printed

23、 seconds are used, they must be marked on the face side with stripes, 3 inches apart across the full width running in a warpwise direction for the length of the entire roll. The stripes shall be 1/8 to 1/2 inch wide and shall be applied by the cloth finisher. The color of the stripes shall approxima

24、te any one of the camouflage print colors, and shall have an AATCC Chromatic Transference Scale rating for crocking not lower than 1.5. The ground shade cloth shall be dyed in 3.3.2 Braid, textile (tubular). The braid for the leg hem drawcord shall be water repellent treated, 4/32 inch, Olive Green

25、107, conforming to type IV, class 2 of MIL-B-371. 3.3.3 Tape. The tape shall be Olive Green 107, conforming to type I, class 8 of MIL-T-43566, except that the colorfastness to crocking and accelerated aging shall not apply. The widths of tape shall be as follows: 5/8 inch - for waist adjustment stra

26、ps and 1 inch - for waistband button tabs for cargo pocket tie tapes O c e 3.3.4 Laces, nylon. The suspender loops and leg loops shall be made from nylon laces, Olive Green 106, conforming to type I, class 2 or type II, class 2 of V-L-61 except that the requirements pertaining to length and tipping

Each of the trousers shall have a size label and a combination identification-instruction label conforming to type VI

28、of DDD-L-20. The color of the label cloth shall be Medium Green (see 6.5). requirements of DDD-L-20 shall apply. The fastness to laundering 3.3.5.1 Size label. 31、.5.2 Combination identification-instruction label. The identification label (class 1) and instruction label (class 3) shall be combined into one label, conforming to class 3 requirements. be as follows: The body of the instructions shall 1. Wear as outer garment in cold-wet climate or as the inner l

32、ayer of the cold-dry uniform. 2. Button in liner for extra warmth. Remove it when damp or wet and allow to dry. 3. Attach suspender hooks to waist loops. 4. Adjust waist by buckle straps. 5. Ventilate by loosening drawcords. 6. Wear leg bottoms outside footgear and secure drawcords. 7. Brush off sno

33、w and frost before entering heated shelter. 8. Avoid contact with heated stoves, open fires or other high heat source; fabric may fuse. 9. Dry trousers and liner separately. 10. Lubricate slide fasteners with lead pencil, graphite or wax. 11. For cleaning and restoring and water repellency, return t

34、o laundry for machine washing in accordance with established procedures for quarpel treated garments. 12. Machine washing: Use Permanent Press Cycle. Wash in warm water using mild detergent. 13. Hand washing: Wash in warm water using mild detergent. DO NOT WRING OR TWIST. Rinse in clean warm water.

35、14. DO NOT USE CHLORINE BLEACH OR STARCH. 15, Drying: Dry at low heat (do not exceed 1300F). After drying, tumble at room temperature for 10 minutes. Remove immediately from dryer. 37、-43548, The color shall be Olive Drab S-1 C.A. 66022. The thread shall be water repellent treated in accordance with type II, class 3 of MIL-T-3530. 3.3.7 Gimp. The gimp for reinforcing buttonholes shall be cotton, Olive Drab S-1 C.A. 66022, conforming to size No. 8, type I or II of V-T-280. The dye

38、d gimp shall show fastness to laundering (after 3 cycles) to or better than the standard sample (see 6.3). When no standard sample is available, the dyed gimp shall show “good“ fastness to laundering (after 3 cycles). 3.3.8 Buttons. The buttons shall be type II, class D, style 26, 30-line, Olive Gre

39、en Shade BP, Cable No. 62016 dull finish, conforming to V-B-871. t 3.3.9 Fastener, slide, interlocking. The slide fastener shall be type I, style 3, size MS, short tab pull with thong, brass chain, conforming to V-F-106 except that the tapes shall be 9/16 2 1/32 inch wide and the finished length of

40、the thong after assembly shall be 3 + 3/4 inches. for the various sizes shall be of sufficient lengths to comply with operations 11 and 12 of table III. The slide fastener tapes shall be Olive Drab Shade S, Cable No. 66519, and shall show fastness to laundering. When no standard sample (see 6.3) is

41、available, the dyed tapes shall show “good“ fastness to laundering. The slide fasteners 3.3.10 Fasteners, snap. The snap fastener for pocket flaps shall be brass, style 2A, finish 2, male and female complete, consisting of stud with size 1 or 2 eyelet and socket with size 1 or 2 eyelet (instead of b

42、utton) conforming to MIL-F-10884. 3.3.11 Buckles. The buckles for waist adjustment straps shall be tongueless 2 bar, style 3, 5/8 inch, conforming to type II, class 3 of MIL-B-543. 3.4 Design. The trousers have hip pockets, side front pocket, leg cargo pockets with tie tapes and pocket flaps having

43、snap fastener closures, compass pocket, waist adjustment straps, suspender loops, inside button tabs and leg hem drawcords (see figure i). 3.5 Figure. Figure 1 is furnished for information purposes only. If there are any inconsistencies between the document and the figure, the document shall control

44、. 3.6 Patterns, Standard patterns, which provide an allowance of 1/2 inch for double-needle or safety-stitch joining seams, 1/4 inch for pocket flaps and 3/8 inch for other seams will be furnished by the Government to the contractor for cutting working patterns. The working patterns shall be duplica

45、tes of the Government patterns which show size, placement of pockets, and notches for proper assembly of all parts. shall not be altered in any way. 49、ing. Stitch, seam, and stitching types specified in table III are those covered by FED-STD-751. Whenever two or more seam or stitch types are given for the same part of the operation, any one of them may be used. When stitch type 401 is used, the looper thread shall be on the inside of the trousers. Seam allowances shall be maintained with seams sewn so that no raw edges, runoffs, twists,
