39、 protection against the various forms of corrosion and deterioration that may be encountered in any of the applicable operation and storage environments to which the tank may be exposed. 3.6.2 Identification of materials and finishes, The contractor shall identify the specific materials, material fi
40、nishes and treatments for use with components and subcomponents, and shall make information available upon request to the contracting officer or his designated representative. 3.6.3 Recovered materials. For the purpose of this requirement, recovered materials are those materials which have been coll
41、ected from solid waste and reprocessed to become a source of raw materials, as distinguished from virgin raw materials. The components, pieces and parts incorporated in the tank may be newly fabricated from recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, provided the tank produced meets all o
42、ther requirements of this specification. Used, rebuilt or remanufactured components, pieces and parts shall not be incorporated in the tanks. 3.6.4 Cloth. The cloth of the coated fabric shall be high-tenacity, and heat and light resistant, affecting strength, coating adhesion, coating thickness, or
43、leakage, Cloth shall be nylon or polyester. The cloth shall be free from any imperfection - 3.6.5 Coatina compounds. Every compound used for the formulation of elastomeric coatings, tie gums, diffusion barrier (if used), and any other materials applied to the fabric and subject to contact with drink
44、ing water shall be suitable for use with drinking water (see 3.6). All coating compounds shall be suitable for use when in continuous contact with rainwater, ground water, or well water and shall be fungus and weather resistant, 3.6.6 Coated fabric. The coated fabric shall be free from blisters or p
45、inholes and shall show no signs of coating delamination, The coated fabric shall withstand the effects of humidity, ozone, and weather elements without damage, deterioration, or failure to meet performance requirements specified herein.
