2、 1. SCOPE 1.1 This specification COVKS an instrument designated as Telescope, Elbow: M11882. 2. Wor kmanskip 3.3 Environmental. 3.3.1 Storage temperatures.- The telescope shall show no evidence of physical failure at room temperature (60 to 90F
6、) ater having been thermally stabilized at -70F and +160%+. 3.3.2 Standard ambient temperatures.- subsequent to meeting the requirements of 3.3.11 the telescope shall meet all the requirements of this specification except 3.3.3 at a standard ambient temperature between 60F and 90F. 3.3.3 Operating t
7、emperatures,- The telescope shall show no evidence of physical failure and shall meet the applicable requirements of 3.9 while thermally stabilized at -40F and +150F. 3.3.4 Vibration.- The telescope shall show no evidence of physical failure (loose, missing OK broken parts) after having been vibrate
8、d at a frequency of 38 cycles per second at an amplitude of 1/16 inch (1/8 inch total excursion) for a period of 5 minutes + 15 seconds. Vibration shall not have caused the eyepiece are to disengage from the initially engaged position. Subsequent to vibration, the telescope shall meet the require- m
9、ents of 3.4 to 3.10 inclusive. 3.4 Cleanliness.- The telescope shall meet the cleanliness requirements of Specification MIL-O-P3830. There shall be no more than 2 particles of dirt visible in the center zone (.614 inch diameter) of the reticle, and the area of each particle shall not be in excess of
10、 the area equivalent to a size 10 dig. There shall be no more than 5 particles of dirt visible in the outer zone of the reticle, and the area of each particle shall not be in excess of the area equivalent to a size 20 dig. 3.5 Sealing.- The telescope shall maintain an internal pressure of dry nitrog

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISPBNS 4.1 Responsibil.ity for inspection.- Unless otherwise speci- fied in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is respon- sible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as ot
16、herwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specificatio
17、n where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements . 4.1.1 General provisions.- The component and subassembly inspection requirements of MIL-F-13926 form a part of the Quality Assurance Provisions of this specification. of inspection term

Definitions 4.2 First Article (Initial Production) Approval.- The requirement for first article approval and the responsibility (Government or Contractor) for first article testing shall be as specified in the contract. The sample for first article approval tests

21、ent compatible with the “Test Methods and Procedures“ specified in 4.6 of this specification and with the component inspection procedures specified in “Examination“ and “Test Facilities“ requirements of MIL-F-23926. Since tolerance of test equipment is normally considered to within 10% of the produc
22、t tolerance for which it is intended, this inherent error in the test equipment design must be considered as part of the prescribed product tolerance limit. Thus, concept, construction, materials, dimensions and tolerance used in the design of test equipment shall be so selected and controlled as to
23、 insure that the test equipment will reliably indicate acceptability of a product which does not exceed 90% of the prescribed tolerance limit, and permit positive rejection when non-conforming. such as to facilitate routine calibration of test equipment. Construction shall be 4.5.3 Test equipment.-

27、97990b 0348990 T MIL-T-63359 (AR) 4.7.2.2 Vibration.- This test shall be performed using a testing device, the accuracy of which shall be equal to or exceed the accuracy depicted on Fixture Drawing F7560085. The test shall be performed as outlined in Procedure V of MIL-F- 13926; however, the duratio
28、n shall be as specified in 3.3. At the conclusion of the test, the telescope shall be subjected to a visual and tactile examination and shall be subjected to the following performance test to determine conformance with 3.3. Repeat test for cleanliness. 4.7.2.3 Post vibration.- Pmmedaately after comp
29、leting the vibration test and test for cleanliness, reassemble the tele- scope to the testing fixture OP medium withoct disturbing any previous settings. Observe where the intersecting point of the telescopes reticle fall upon the collimator projector retcile with respect to the recorded position ob
30、served in 4.7.2.1. They must coincide within the limits of 3.7.1. 4.7.2.4 Eyepiece foeus.- This test is to be accomplished by placing a white background in front of the telescopes objective lens. Eyepiece focus is to be measured using a 3 power dioptometer conforming to the accuracies depicted on Dr
31、awing 9680631. Adjust the dioptometer eyepiece assembly to the dioptometers optical axis. Next direct the dioptometers line of sight toward a 500 feet distance target such as a smoke stack, edge of a building, or some other well defined target image. Adjust the objective assembly until parallax is r
32、emoved. Set the dioptometer scale to zero diopters. The telescope reticle and image shall remain clear and distinguishable throughout the permissible diopter range specified in paragraph 3.7.6. e 4.7.2.5 Parallelism of image and reticle.- With the telescope positioned as outlined in 4.7.1, observe c
33、oincidence between one end of the instruments horizontal reticle line with respect to the comparable projector collimators horizontal reticle line and observe where the opposite end of the telescope horizontal reticle line falls with respect to the projector collimator horizontal line, both lines mu
34、st coincide within the limits specified in 3.7.3. 4.7.2.9 Parallax.- Using Set-up outlines in 4.7.1, parallax will be checked after the distances specified in 3.9.8 have been set into the projector collimator. The test is performed by aligning the reticle line or mark near or on the optical axis of
