The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Esch member body interested in a subject for which a tec

11、rcumstances a technical committee may propose the publication of a technical report of one of the following types : - type 1, when the necessary support within the technical committee cannot be obtained for the publication of an International Standard, despite repeated efforts; - type 2, when the su
12、bject is still under technical development requiring wider exposure; - type 3, when a technical committee has collected data of a different kind from that which is normally published as an International Standard (“state of the art”, for example). s Technical reports are accepted for publication dire
13、ctly by ISO Council. Technical reports types 1 and 2 are subject to review within three years of publication, to decide if they tan be transformed into International Standards. 15、the member bodies in 1980. The results of the vote were examined by the appropriate technicai committee which decided firstly, to consider adding lengths of open and closed rigging screws to the Draf.t and secondly, to resch agreement on the dimensions shown in the table. In 1984, analysis of the co
16、mments and proposals relating to this study revealed the impossibility of changing existing practices in the countries concerned. lt was then decided to stop the work and propose drawing up a technical report, of type 1, allowing the member bodies interested to refer to it, thereby eventually facili
