11、le requirements for theregular maintenance of Pyrogen fire extinguishing aerosol systems.The objective of this Standard is to provide users of Pyrogen fire extinguishing aerosolsystems with the necessary requirements needed in the regular maintenance of suchsystems.Pyrogen fire extinguishing aerosol

12、 systems may incorporate control and indicatingequipment (CIE) that complies with AS 1603.4, Automatic fire detection and alarmsystems,Part4:Control and indicating equipment, and is installed in accordance withAS 1670, Automatic fire detection and alarm systems System design, installation, andcommis

13、sioning. The maintenance provisions of this Standard therefore overlap those forcontrol and indicating equipment contained in AS 1851.8, Maintenance of fire protectionequipment, Part 8: Automatic fire detection and alarm systems. Where the CIE for asystem forms part of a fire indicator panel (FIP) s

14、erving other zones as well as theprotected enclosure, then maintenance in accordance with AS 1851.8 and this Standardcan be undertaken simultaneously without the need for duplication.This Standard has some variance in text from its sister document, AS 1851.8, due to thechange in the document style p

15、rocedures of Standards Australia.The term informative has been used in this Standard to define the application of theappendix to which it applies. 24、Standard sets out requirements for the regular maintenance of fireextinguishing systems utilizing SOYUZ pyrogenically generated fire extinguishingaerosols, designed and installed in accordance with AS/NZS 4487. 28、 28 Feb 2006 AVAILABLE SUPERSEDED5 AS/NZS 1851.16:1997SECTION 2 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS2.1 MAINTENANCE It is essential that regular maintenance of Pyrogen systems isundertaken to ensure an operational condition and to prevent inadvertent discharge.NOTE: Maintenance shall be carried out only by persons

29、having qualifications and experiencesuitable for the particular work in which they are engaged.Calibrated test equipment and recognized procedures shall be used.Regular maintenance is classified into three levels which shall be performed as follows:(a) Weekly, only where the appropriate authority de

30、ems it necessary.(b) Monthly on all systems.(c) Yearly on all systems.NOTES:1 The manufacturer may have additional requirements beyond that specified in this Standard.2 The arrangements for maintenance should ensure that a person is available on call at alltimes to provide service in the event of an

31、y fault developing at the installation.2.2 RECORDS All system attendances, e.g. inspection, testing, service andmaintenance procedures shall be systematically recorded by date with signed entries in thelogbook maintained on the site (see Clause 4.2). In addition, a copy of all attendancerecords shou

32、ld be forwarded to the owner or the owners agent. The property owner oroccupier shall maintain a record of maintenance carried out on the Pyrogen systems. Themaintenance record system shall contain the classification (weekly, monthly or yearly)and date of maintenance, any defects and any consequent

33、remedial action or advice givenby the service person, with any additional action taken by the service person.The maintenance record system shall be available at all times.NOTE: The maintenance record system may be in the form of a logbook or a computer-basedrecord system, or other appropriate perman

34、ent record system.2.3 PRECAUTIONS Prior to commencing any inspection, testing or maintenanceprocedures, the service person shall carry out the following precautionary procedures asapplicable:(a) Inform the building owner or agent that maintenance is to be carried out.(b) Advise the fire control stat

35、ion, where testing will transmit a fire alarm signal.(c) Engage the system isolate switch, and in addition, ensure that all extinguishantactuating circuits are isolated to ensure that testing or other maintenance procedurescannot cause discharge of any extinguishant.(d) Set the detection and alarm s

36、ystem in the appropriate test mode and ensure thatancillary facilities, systems and air-handling plant (including smoke exhaust andstairwell pressurization systems, evacuation warning systems, and the like), wherethey are not to be tested, are isolated to avoid inadvertent operation.(e) On completio

37、n of any inspection, testing or maintenance procedure, the serviceperson shall ensure that all controls are returned to the normal condition and re-establish the systems integrity.NOTE: The action to be taken when any function is isolated should be covered by themaintenance contract. It is recommend

39、PROCEDURES3.1 WEEKLY Where required, the weekly maintenance procedure shall be performedas follows:(a) Activate system isolate switch and isolate ancillaries in accordance with Clause 2.3.(b) Check the proper operation of associated visual alarm indicators by initiating asimulated fire alarm on an a

40、larm zone facility.The above test shall be carried out in a manner acceptable to the fire control station.(c) Check the satisfactory operation of the fire alarm bell.(d) Reset alarm zone facility.(e) On completion of testing, re-establish the systems integrity, ensure that all controlsare returned t

41、o the normal condition.(f) Record the results of weekly maintenance procedures in the log, including wherepossible, whether the fire alarm signal from the alarm zone facility was received atthe fire control station (see Clause 4.2).(g) Ensure that all switches are in the correct operating position.

42、Inform the buildingowner or agent of any items requiring corrective action.3.2 MONTHLY The monthly maintenance procedure shall be performed as follows:(a) Activate system isolate switch and isolate ancillaries in accordance with Clause 2.3.(b) Initiate a simulated fire alarm on an alarm zone facilit

43、y so as to transmit an alarm tothe fire control station. Check the proper operation of all associated visual alarmindicators. Where possible check that the alarm was correctly received at the firecontrol station.The above test shall be carried out in a manner acceptable to the fire control station.(

44、c) Check the satisfactory operation of the fire alarm bell.(d) Reset alarm zone facility to normal.(e) Test each alarm zone facility to confirm its ability to operate the master alarmfacility.(f) Check that all visual and audible indicators are operating correctly.(g) Check that all control and indi

45、cating equipment is in a clean and operationalcondition, and effectively dust sealed.(h) Ensure that all fire indicator panels, extinguishant local control stations (LCS),repeater panels and mimic panels are clearly visible and readily accessible (seeAS 1670).(i) Simulate fault conditions on all ala

46、rm zones to ensure that fault indicators, bothaudible and visual, where applicable, are operating correctly from each alarm zonefacility.(j) Check the battery condition by operating the battery test facility for 1 min, andrecord the battery condition in the log.(k) Inspect all extinguishant generato

47、rs, manual mechanical release mechanisms and allother ancillary equipment to ensure they are secure, undamaged and unobstructed.(l) Check the function of all extinguishant manual initiate switches and theextinguishant inhibit switch on each LCS.COPYRIGHTAccessed by ISONET - CHINA STATE BUREAU OF TEC

49、yed andunobstructed and that all controls, switches and the like are properly identified.(o) Check the operation of all audible alarms and visual warning devices.(p) On completion of testing, re-establish the systems integrity, ensuring that allcontrols are returned to the normal condition.(q) Record the results of monthly maintenance procedures in the log, including all itemsrequiring corrective action, adjustment and the like (see Clause 4.2).(r) Check that items previously recorded as requiring attention have been attended to,or record the reasons why
