6、ngs. Particular requirements applicable to forging stock, pre-production forgings and production forgings are defined in EN2082-2 and EN2082-3 respectively. The three Standards EN2082-1, EN2082-2 and EN2082-3 define the inspection level and the sampling frequencies tc.be applied unless otherwise spe
7、cified on the drawing, order or inspection schedule. 2 Field of appiication Unless otherwise specified on the drawing, order or inspection schedule this standard shall be applied when referenced in the relevant EN material standarcis. It is applicable to : - Forging stock (EN2082-2), - Hand forgings
8、 including forged blocks and rings, die forgings and rolled rings (EN2082-3), hereafter described as “forgings“. By agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer, it may also be applied to other materials or delivery conditions not covered by EN standards. The agreements shall be formalized b

11、g the forging stock or the forgings in the form and condition which it is supplied to the purchaser. 42 Purchaser Company which orders and purchases the-forgings or the forging stock. 4.3 Cast n 4.3.1 Metal taken from the same melt in a furnace or crucible or from several melts mixed in the same fur
12、nace or crucible before pouring. 4.3.2 metal taken from the furnace before the next following charge. Where a continuous melting process is used, a cast may be defined as 4.4 Batch A batch consists of forging stock or forgings : - Of the same form and nominal dimensions or having the same drawing nu
13、mber and - From the same cast and - In the same heat treatment condition and - From the same heat treatment charge for an air furnace or from the same heat treatment run for a salt bath furnace. The heat treatment charge and run for a salt bath furnace shall be defined in the manufacturing schedule.
14、 . 4.5 Pre-production forgings Forgings produced to a particular design which qualify the method ofmanufacture and equipment configuration and which demonstrate that the requirements of the purchaser can be met. Such action in no way reduces the obligations of the manufacturer to fulfil all requirements, If subsequent testing indicates that a product does not comply with the requirements the batch shall be rejected. 5 Manuf
17、acture 5.1 Forgings shall be made- from forging stock compTying with the relevant EN material standard and EN2082-2. . 5.2 Unless otherwise specified, thre method of manufacture to be employed shall be at the discretion of the manufacturer. 5.3 Conformance with the requirements of the purchaser shal
18、l be demonstrated by the manufacture and inspection and testing of pre-production forgings as required by EN2082-3. 19、there are more than one heat treatment condition in the material standard, the condition of supply shall be specified on the order or on the drawing. If a specific heat treatment temperature (value and tolerance) is stated, that temperature shall be mandato.ry. If a heat treatment temperature range
20、is stated, a temperature w reduced by the furnace tolerances shall be selected. Unless otherwise specified, the charge shall be maintained at subject to the tolerance of - + 5”C, for the period stated. thin that range the temperature 6 Traceability Each product shall be identifiable to its cast and
21、batch at all stages of manufacture and delivery. 7 Freedom from defects The products shall be free from harmful defects and notwithstanding previous acceptance of products complying with this standard; any product that is found, at a later stage, to contain such defects may be rejected. 8 Testing Th
22、e tests required by the “material standard, the order, the inspection schedule or the drawing shall be made in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate test standard. If a test standard does not exist, the method shall be agreed between the manufacturer and the purchaser. The frequency of
23、 testing shall be as specified in EN2082-2 or EN2082-3,unless otherwise specified on the drawing, order, or inspection schedule. 8.1 Chemical composition 8.1.1 The chemical composition of the delivered product shall comply with the requirements of the relevant material standard. The method of analysis shall be selected by the manufacturer, but in case of dispute, the method set out in the relevant
25、 IS0 standard shall be used. If no .IS0 standard exists a fundamental method of chemical analysis shall be used. 8.2 8.2.1 Test samples for the tests required by the material standard shall be obtained bv one or more of the following methods as agreed between the Preparation of test samples and test
26、 pieces manufacturr and the purchaser and indicated on schedule : a) b) Test samples cut from forgings, Test samples forged integrally with the forg the drawing or the inspection c) Test samples forged separately from the same batch of forging stock as the forgings they represent. 8.2.2 The test sam
27、ples and test pieces shall be marked in such a manner that their identity and orientation with respect to the product and the batch is maintained. 8.2.3 Test samples removed from finished forgings shall not be further worked. The preparation of test samples for the release of forging stock shall be
28、carried out in accordance with EN2082-2. 8.2.4 ShouTd the test samples be taken as described in clause 8.2.1 a), the purchaser shall specify the number of forgings to be cut up and shall define in the drawing or inspection schedule the location from which the test samples are to be taken. 8.2.5 Dime

30、ed with the batch of .forgings they represent. Test samples representing forgings to be supplied in any heat treated .Unless otherwise agreed between manufacturer and purchaser samples shall not be cut from forgings before heat treatment. 8.3.2 Test samples cut from forgings in the finally heat trea
31、ted condition shall not be further heat treated. 8.3.3 For forgings supplied in other than the finally heat treated condition the test samples required for proving the characteristics of this condition shall be re-heat treated in accordance with the requirements of the materials standard. 8.4 Re-tes
32、ts If any inspection or test fails to meet the. requirements, re-tests shall be carried out as follows : 8.4.1 Tensile tests If the test procedure or the test piece preparation is faulty, testing shall be re-appl ied at the original frequency after identification of the original cause of fai 1 Ure.
33、When failure cannot be attributed to a faulty test procedure or to test piece Preparation, additional identical test samples shall be. selected at twice the original frequency. At least one of the re-tests shall be from the products or forgings on which the incorrect result was obtained (unless alre
34、ady rejected by the manufacturer after suitable identification of the cause of the failure). If all re-test results are satisfactory, the batch shall be accepted. If one or more re-test results are unsatisfactory, the batch shall be either : - rejected, or - re-heat treated and tested as a completel

36、ted more than once without the agreement of the purchaser. 9 Marking Products shall be marked in accordance with EN2082-2 for forging stock and EN2082-3 for forgings. 10 Acceptance If required by the order, the manufacturer shall inform the purchaser or his chosen agent of the planned dates for the
37、extraction of samples and acceptance testing, in order that these operations may be witnessed. 11 Inspection and testing report The supplier shall furnish with each delivery of forging stock, pre-production and production forgings a form of certificate conforming to requirements Of EN2078 stating th
