6、 standard defines the dimensions, resistance per unit length and mass of fire resistant electrical cables, which satisfy in their entirety the requirements specified in standard EN2234. These cables may be used continuously at locations where the maximum stabilised temperature of the conductor does
7、not exceed 260 OC. They also retain their electrical stability when exposed for 15 minutes to a flame at 1100 OC. Their insulation has been designed to resist an effective maximum operating voltage of 600 volts and a frequency of below 2000 Hz. 2 References EN2234 , Fire resisting electrical cables
8、- Technical specification - Aerospace series. 3 Definitions and symbols Refer to standard EN2234. 4 Composition The conductor of fire resistant cables must satisfythe requirements of sub-clause 4.1 of standard EN2234. The insulation of these cables must comply with that defined in sub-clause 4.2 of
9、the said standard. The outer sheath must be white with red stripe : - helical for cables of sections 0,40 to 5 mm2 - longitudinal or helical for cables of sections 9 to 68 mm2 5 Required characteristics The various characteristics required are specified in the table overleaf.
