8、age drop under specified current in terminal lugs and in-line splices. It shall be used together with EN 2591 2 Normative references EN 2591 Aerospace series - Elements of electrical and optical connection - Test methods - General 3 Preparation of specimens The specimens shall be fitted with their n

9、ormal accessories, and wired up in accordance with the technical specification. The following details shall be specified in the technical specification : - number of specimens; - type of cable; - - - test current; - - requirement of initial measurements; - requirement of final measurements. installa

10、tion and wiring of specimens; length L separating the measurement points; types of accessories fitted to the specimens; 4 Method The voltage drop of the crimp shall be calculated by deducting the drop in voltage for the reference cable, from that of each specimen. The voltage drops in the specimens

11、and the reference cable between the measuring points (figures 1 and 2) shall be measured using the test current specified in the technical specification. The value for the calculated voltage drop of the crimp shall not exceed the value specified in the technical specification. Terminal lugs : Uc = (

12、Us-Ur)/2 in-line splices : Uc = Us-Ur Uc : voltage drop in the connection Us : voltage drop for the specimen Ur : voltage drop in the reference conductor. If the distance between the measurement points is different from L, adjust the measured values to this distance by calculation. AECMA PRENx2591-
