8、panel shell, - shell insulation, - insulation contacts, - insulation wires, of elements of connection subjected to a differential air pressure. It shall be used together with EN 2591. 2 Reference EN 2591 Aerospace series - Elements of electrical and optical connection - Test methods - General c. . 3

9、 Preparation of the specimen 3.1 The specimens shall be wired and fitted with their accessories in accordance with the technical specification. The fixed connector shall be mounted in accordance with the technical specification on a test fixture which enables a pressure to be applied in either direc

10、tion. 3.2 Unless indicated in the technical specification, the following details shall be specified : - types of elements of connection, - type of cable, - type of rear accessory, - preconditioning : temperature and duration, c - applicable test methods, - pressure differential, - maximum limit of l

I Preconditioning (if applicable) The technical specification may stipulate the exposure, before the test, of the specimen to a specified temperature for a given time. 5.2 Test procedure A pressure difference shall be generated between the fro

13、nt and rear faces of the element of connection. The technical specification shall indicate the test method applicable and the type of element of connection to be tested. To test a pair of elements of connection methods A and 3 shall be employed. 5.2.1 Method A - Leakage across sealed fixed connector

14、s The ends of the cables shall be blanked off. A pressure difference, the value of which is indicated in the technical specification is established between the two faces of the fixed connector, for 30 min, in either direction in turn. Note : it shall be ensured that any possible leakages at the mounting of the fixed connector are not taken into account in the measurement. 5.2.2 Method B - Leakage across and at the coupling of plugs and protective covers. The ends of the cables shall be blanked of

16、f The plug or protective cover shall be locked onto the fixed connector from which one central contact has been removed. A pressure difference, the value of which is indicated in the technical specification is established for 30 min between the two faces of the connector mounting panel, in either di

17、rection in turn. Measure the leakage rate. Note : it shall be ensured that any possible leakages at the mounting of the fixed connector are not taken into account in the measurement. . 5.2.3 Method C - Leakage of the mounting for fixed connectors Precautions shall be taken so as to test only the dev

18、ice for sealing the mounting of the connector on test. A pressure difference, the value of which is indicated in the technical specification shall be established for 30 min between the two faces of the connector mounting panel, in either direction in turn. Measure the leakage rate. 5.3 Requirement The leakage rate measured shall not exceed the value stipulated in the technical c specification.
