15、ions and symbols See EN 3475-100, IS0 8056-1 and IS0 8815. 4 Materials and construction 4.1 Conductors The conductors for cables in accordance with the present Technical Specification shall consist of conductors as per IS0 8056-1. The tolerance class is according to EN 60584-2. Individual strands sh
16、all show the following minimum elongation and tensile strength (see Table 1). 17、throughout the entire length of the cable. The surface of the cable shall be smooth and comply with the requirements in respect of identification. The materials used shall be unaffected by corrosion and shall be resistant to the effects of mould fungus and similar micro-organisms. 4.3 Construction o
18、f the cables 4.3.1 General The operating temperature of the wires shall not be lower than the maximum operating temperature of the complete cable. 4.3.2 Cable lay The lay length of the outer layer shall not be less than 8 times and not more than 16 times the nominal diameter of the cable. The core s
19、hall not be spliced. 4.3.3 Screened cables 4.3.3.1 General The individual strands used for the screen shall be free from kinks, loops or breaks; their surface shall be free from corrosion and other contamination. They shall satisfy the mechanical tests in EN 3475-505 to EN 3475-508 before use. The s
20、creen shall be in contact with all the cabled cores. Where spiral screening is used the lay direction shall be contrary to that of the cables cores. 4.3.3.2 Joints Joints in the individual strands of the screen shall be made by soldering or by laying the individual strands together over a length of
21、at least 1 O mm. There shall be no more than one joint per 3 m cable length (measured between different individual strands). 4.3.3.3 Braid screen pushback capability In accordance with test 6.41. 4.3.3.4 Angle of spiral screening or braiding The angle y of spiral screening or braiding (as shown in F
22、igure I), measured against the longitudinal axis of the cable shall be at least IO“. 39、coils in sufficient lengths, wound evenly and uniformly. 40、inal cross-section AWG a 0,6 20 7.1.4 Extension of qualification The qualification granted may be applicable to adjacent cross-sections in accordance with Table 4. 7.2 Acceptance tests 7.2.1 Required conditions See Table 2. The acceptance tests shall be carried out on cables delivered against an ord
41、er to check that the cable characteristics are maintained. 7.2.1.1 The cables which fail any of the test specified in 7.2.2 shall be rejected. Tests to be carried out on all cables 7.2.1.2 Random sampling tests: retest If any of the specimen fails one of the tests specified in 7.2.3, that test shall
42、 be repeated on another set of specimens of the same cross-section selected at random from the same batch. If one of these new specimen fails the test, the batch submitted for acceptance shall be rejected. 7.2.2 Production routine tests The tests shall be carried out on all cables delivered. See Tab
43、le 2. 7.2.3 Tests prior to delivery They shall be carried out by sampling on each delivery batch. 7.2.4 Periodic tests They shall be carried out by sampling at least every three years. 44、on and a reference for the identification of country of origin, manufacturer, and the year of manufacture shall be indelibly marked on the cables, in accordance with IS0 2574. 9 9.1 Packaging and labelling Cables supplied on drums, spools or in coils shall be wound evenly and uniformly. All cables e
45、nds shall be easily accessible and protected where necessary. Each drum, spool or coil shall have a label indicating: - manufacturers name and designation; - cable designation; - batch number; - date of manufacture; - inspector mark; - total length and length of each piece of cable in meters from in
46、side to out side.
