After inquiries and votes carried out in accordance with the rules of ASD-STAN defined in ASD-STANs General Process Manual, this standard has received approval for Publication. prEN 4708-301:2016 (E) 3 1 Scope This standard specifies the required characteristics for heat-shrinkable adhesive lin

13、ed polyolefin sleevings for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperatures between 55 C and 105 C. The sleeving consists of an outer layer being of a flexible cross-linked polyolefin. The inner wall consists of a hot melt adhesive that flows and fuses during the shrinking process to pr

14、ovide a bond that is suitable where an environmental seal is required. These sleevings are normally supplied with internal diameters up to 40 mm for shrink ratios of 3:1 and up to 52 mm for shrink ratios of 4:1. These sleevings are normally supplied in colour black. Sizes or colours other than those

15、 specifically listed in this standard may be available as custom items. These items shall be considered to comply with this standard if they comply with the property requirements listed in Table 3 and Table 5 except for dimensions and mass. 2 Normative references The following documents, in whole or

Additional evidence of compliance with this requirement in the interim shall be as agreed between the supplier and/or the approval authority and/or the customer. 4.4 Elevated temperature performance test Three specimens for each size as

39、detailed in Table 1 shall be tested. (100 2) mm lengths of expanded sleeving shall be cut and recovered, according to manufacturers/suppliers recommendations, onto the appropriate size of stepped mandrel as detailed in Figure 1. After recovery onto the stepped mandrel the assembly shall be allowed t

40、o cool to ambient temperature and the lengths of sleeving over the masking tape shall be removed. The assembly shall then been conditioned for (24 0,5) hours in an oven at the temperature specified in Table 3. On removal from the oven the assembly shall be allowed to cool to ambient temperature and

41、any movement of the sleeving away from the masking tape on the Y diameter shall be measured as specified in Table 8 to an accuracy of 1 mm.
