ASHRAEsmembers will strive to mi

10、nimize any possible deleterious effect on the indoor and outdoor environment of the systems andcomponents in their responsibility while maximizing the beneficial effects these systems provide, consistent with acceptedstandards and the practical state of the art.ASHRAEs short-range goal is to ensure

11、that the systems and components within its scope do not impact the indoor andoutdoor environment to a greater extent than specified by the standards and guidelines as established by itself and otherresponsible bodies.As an ongoing goal, ASHRAE will, through its Standards Committee and extensive tech

12、nical committee structure,continue to generate up-to-date standards and guidelines where appropriate and adopt, recommend, and promote those newand revised standards developed by other responsible organizations.Through its Handbook, appropriate chapters will contain up-to-date standards and design c

However, energy source selection and the possible environmental impact due to the energy source and energytransportation will be considered where possible. Recommendations concerning energy source selection should be made byits members.SPECIAL NOTEThis Ame

16、rican National Standard (ANS) is a national voluntary consensus standard developed under the auspices of ASHRAE.Consensus is defined by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), of which ASHRAE is a member and which has approved thisstandard as an ANS, as “substantial agreement reached by di

17、rectly and materially affected interest categories. This signifies the concurrenceof more than a simple majority, but not necessarily unanimity. Consensus requires that all views and objections be considered, and that aneffort be made toward their resolution.” Compliance with this standard is volunt

18、ary until and unless a legal jurisdiction makes compliancemandatory through legislation.ASHRAE obtains consensus through participation of its national and international members, associated societies, and public review.ASHRAE Standards are prepared by a Project Committee appointed specifically for th

34、as combined appli-ances, which perform space conditioning and water heatingin residential applications. The heat pumps may also provideadditional functions, such as ventilation and/or dehumidifica-tion. This procedure pulls together past test procedures andU.S. Department of Energy waivers dealing w

35、ith specialdesign equipment into a single comprehensive procedure cov-ering all existing and anticipated multipurpose heat pumps.This procedure is voluminous but covers six differentbasic systems: single capacity air-source, dual capacity air-source, variable capacity air-source, single capacity liq

36、uid-source, dual capacity liquid-source, and variable capacityliquid-source systems. Some material is repeated for eachsystem type in order to minimize the need for the reader torefer to other sections of the procedure.Method CalculatorBecause the calculations for the procedure are exten-sive, a Mic

PURPOSE1.1 This standard provides uniform test methods and calcu-lation procedures for establishing the efficiencies of multipur-pose residential heat pumps for spac

38、e conditioning, waterheating, and/or dehumidification.1.2 This standard specifies the test equipment for performingsuch tests, the data required and calculations to be used, andlists and defines the terms used in testing.1.3 The procedures in this standard may be used as a basis forestablishing effi

39、ciency ratings for such equipment and forestimating annual energy consumption.2. SCOPE2.1 This standard covers electrically powered unitary inte-grated appliances that provide combinations of space condi-tioning, waterheating, and/ordehumidification functions.Theequipment to which this standard appl

40、ies may have the capa-bility to heat water and/or to perform space dehumidificationwithout requiring the simultaneous performance of space con-ditioning. It addresses air-source, water-source, ground water-source, ground-source closed loop, and direct geoexchangeequipment. It applies to air-source e

41、quipment rated below65,000 Btu/h (19,000 W) and water-source, ground water-source, ground-source closed loop, and direct geoexchangeequipment rated below 135,000 Btu/h (40,000 W).2.2 The method of testing in this standard is broadly applica-ble, but this standard provides cooling and heating hours i

42、ntemperature bins for only the contiguous states of the conti-nental USA.2.3 This standard includes test methods for steady-state,cyclic, and part-load performance and methods for establish-ing seasonal performance. Equipment with single-capacity,multiple-capacity, and variable-capacity, or multiple

43、 com-pressors is covered.2.4 The equipment to which this standard applies may beducted or ductless, but is limited to forced air space condition-ing.3. DEFINITIONSappliance: oftenusedinthisstandardasaone-wordsubstitutefor combined appliance, which is defined below.cooling season: that portion of the

44、 year that the outdoor airtemperature is above 18.3C (65F).combined appliance: an assembly consisting of a heat pumpor air conditioner, a water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger, andoptionally a potable water pump, and /or a water heater; theassembly provides space conditioning, domestic hot water,and o

45、ptionally bined mode: an operating mode that occurs during eitherthe cooling season or the heating season when the applianceoperatestomeetawaterheatingloadalongwithaspacecondi-tioning load. With respect to seasonal performance calcula-tions, this mode occurs when both a water-heating load and aspace

46、 conditioning load occurs simultaneously.energy factor, dehumidifier (EFd): the ratio of the moistureremoved by a dehumidifier to the energy input.
