21、to pur-pose, scope, and definitions. Updates to the traceability for cal-ibration of test instruments were brought in alignment withother related standards, and test instruments in Section 4 wereupdated to current models. References to an alternative methodof airflow in Normative Annex B were added

22、to Section 5. Newmaterial was added to Section 9 to update and clarify methodsfor testing exposed and concealed fan coils for total sound, aswell as methods to measure sound paths for discharge andradiated sound. An alternate method of airflow measurementwas added to Normative Annex B. Two new annex

23、es, Informa-tive Annex C, “Alternate Mixing-Tube Reference Dimensions,”and Informative Annex D, “Examples of Various Types ofExposed and Concealed Fan Coils” were included. Figureswere updated to improve resolution and clarity, and new fig-ures were added. In addition, minor editorial changes werema

This revision of ASHRAE Standard 79 falls under the Stan-dard Committee classification of “standard method of mea-surement.” This standard was prepared under the auspices ofASHRAE. It may be used, in whole or in part, by association orgovernment agency
