2、skets, and Valve Actuators, to inquiries concerning interpretations of technical aspects ofB16.25, Buttwelding Ends.These replies are taken verbatim from the original letters except for a few typographicalcorrections and some minor editorial corrections made for the purpose of improved clarity. Inso

3、me few instances, a review of interpretation revealed a need for corrections of a technicalnature; in these cases, a corrected interpretation follows immediately after the original reply.These interpretations were prepared in accordance with the accredited ASME procedures.ASME procedures provide for

4、 reconsideration of these interpretations when or if additionalinformation is available which the inquirer believes might affect the interpretation. Further,persons aggrieved by this interpretation may appeal to the cognizant ASME Committee orSubcommittee. ASME does not “approve,” “certify,” “rate,”

7、 INTRODUCTION As a service to persons who use the B 16 standards, the BI 6 Committee renders interpretations of the requirements upon request. The procedure for requesting an interpretation is described in the following paragraphs. The interpretations include all replies which have been approved by

8、the B16 Main Committee in response to inquiries concerning interpretation of this Standard. An interpretation applies either to the Edition and Addenda in effect on the date of issuance of the interpretation or the Edition and Addenda stated in the interpretation. Subsequent revisions to this Standa

9、rd may supersede the interpretation. These interpretations are not a part of ASME B16.25 or its addenda. PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING INTERPRETATIONS On request, the BI6 Committee will render an interpretation of any requirement of this Standard. Interpretations can only be rendered in response to a wri

Requests which are not in this format may be rewritten in this format prior to being answered, which may inadvertently change the original
