、Designation: A 1020/A 1020M 02 (Reapproved 2007)Standard Specification forSteel Tubes, Carbon and Carbon Manganese, FusionWelded, for Boiler, Superheater, Heat Exchanger andCondenser Applications1This standard is issued under the fixed designation A 1020/A 1020M; the number immediately following the

、 designation indicates theyear of original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of lastreapproval. A superscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification cover

、s minimum wall thicknesswelded tubes made from carbon and carbon manganese steelslisted in Table 1, with various grades intended for use in boiler, superheater, heat exchanger, or condenser applications.1.2 The tubing sizes and thicknesses usually furnished tothis specification are14 to 5 in. 6.3 to

、127 mm in outsidediameter and 0.015 to 0.375 in. 0.4 to 9.5 mm, inclusive, inwall thickness. Tubing having other dimensions may be fur-nished provided such tubes comply with all other requirementsof this specification.1.3 Mechanical property requirements do not apply totubing smaller than18 in. 3.2

、mm in inside diameter or 0.015in. 0.4 mm in thickness.1.4 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, theSI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in eachsystem are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system mustbe us

The inch-pound units shall apply unless the “M”designation of the specification is specified in the order.1.5 Optional supplementary requirements are provided andwhen desired, sh
