3、esscoils beyond the size limits of Specifications A506 and A507.1.2 The product is available in three designations: AlloySteel, Drawing Steel, and Structural Alloy Steel.1.3 Alloy steel is furnished to chemical composition re-quirements and is intended primarily for general or miscella-neous use whe
4、re bending and moderate forming is a require-ment.1.4 Drawing steel is produced principally for applicationsinvolving severe cold plastic deformation such as deep drawnor severely formed parts.1.4.1 Drawing steel may be furnished in several conditions,heat treatments, surface finishes, and edges, as
5、 specified herein.1.5 Structural steel is furnished to chemical compositionrequirements and to specific mechanical property requirementswhich may include tension tests, hardness tests, or othercommonly accepted mechanical tests.1.5.1 The formability of structural steel decreases withincreasing yield
6、 strength or hardness. 9、priate plate standard must nowapply.1.7.2 The dimensional tolerances of Specification A635/A635M are applicable to material produced to this specifica-tion.1.7.3 The material is to be fed directly from coils into ablanking press, drawing or forming operation, tube mill, rollingmill, or sheared or sl

Chemical Requirements6.1 The heat analysis of the steel shall conform to therequirements for the grade specified on the order.6.2 Standard Alloy Steel grades listed in Table 1 are thosecommonly produced for alloy steel sheet and strip.6.3 Nonstandard Alloy Steel gra
43、des may be specified usingthe ranges and limits shown in Table 2.6.4 Structural Alloy SteelThe grade shall be specified asoutlined in 6.2 or 6.3. However, since different mechanicalproperties may be expected for each of the many chemicalcompositions and conditions (heat treatment) that may bespecifi
44、ed, consideration must be given to these factors inselecting the chemical composition to be specified.7. Metallurgical Structure7.1 Microstructure:7.1.1 Drawing SteelA minimum of 75 % of the carbidemicrostructure shall be of the globular type for material with anordered thickness of less than or equ
