16、7.2 SamplingSamples taken in accordance with the fol-lowing paragraphs shall be obtained from rolled or forgedsections. A minimum 3 to 1 reduction of rolled or forgedsections is required for all products.7.3 Heat Qualification Sampling:7.3.1 For the qualification of an entire bottom poured heat,a mi
17、nimum of six samples shall be examined and shallrepresent the top and bottom of three ingots. One ingot shall betaken at random from the first usable plate poured, one ingot atrandom from the usable plate poured nearest to the middle ofthe heat, and one ingot at random from the last usable platepour

Where a single usable plate constitutes a heat, anythree random ingots may be selected. Other methods ofsampling shall be as agreed upon between manufacturer andpurchaser.7.3.2
19、 For the qualification of an entire strand cast heat, aminimum of six samples representing the first, middle, and lastusable portion of the heat shall be examined. The first, middle, and last portion of at least one outer strand shall be tested andat least one sample from any usable portion of each r

The number of samples shallbe proportional to the amount of the heat applied, but shall notbe less than two or more than ten.7.5 MacroetchSpecimens representative of the full crosssection of bars, billets, or blooms shall be macroetched andrated in accordance with Method E381 in hydrochloric acida

Foringot cast material only, if the size and weight of the bars,bi

The quarter-section must meet the reduction re-quirement of 7.2 and contain both the surface and center of theoriginal cross section before reduction.7.6 Inclusion RatingT
