、Designation: A369/A369M 11Standard Specification forCarbon and Ferritic Alloy Steel Forged and Bored Pipe forHigh-Temperature Service1This standard is issued under the fixed designation A369/A369M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the yearof original adoption or, in the cas

、e of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This specification2covers heavy-wall carbon and alloysteel pipe (Note 1) made from turned

、and bored forgings and isintended for high-temperature service. Pipe ordered under thisspecification shall be suitable for bending and other formingoperations and for fusion welding. Selection will depend ondesign, service conditions, mechanical properties and high-temperature characteristics.NOTE 1

、The use of the word “pipe” throughout the several sections ofthis specification is used in the broad sense and intended to mean pipeheaders, or leads.NOTE 2The dimensionless designator NPS (nominal pipe size) hasbeen substituted in this standard for such traditional terms as “nominaldiameter,” “size

、,” and “nominal size.”1.2 Several grades of ferritic steels are covered. Theircompositions are given in Table 1.1.3 Supplementary requirements (S1 to S6) of an optionalnature are provided. These supplementary requirements call foradditional tests to be made, and when desired shall be so statedin the

、 order, together with the number of such tests required.1.4 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, theSI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in eachsystem may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each systemshall

、 be used independently of the other. Combining valuesfrom the two systems may result in non-conformance with thestandard. The inch-pound units shall apply unless the “M”designation of this specification is specified in the order.2. Referenced Documents2.1 ASTM Standards:3A999/A999M Specification for
