General Conditions for Delivery3.1 Material furnished to this specification shall conform tothe requirements of Specification A781/A781M, including anysupplementary requirements that are indi

7、ation4.1 The purchaser should specify the alloy grade desiredand whether tension tests are required, and shall includestandards of acceptance where necessary.5. Materials and Manufacture5.1 ProcessThe alloy for the castings shall be made by theelectric-arc or induction-furnace process unless otherwi
8、seagreed upon between the manufacturer and the purchaser.Castings may be poured in sand, shell, investment, or centrifu-gal molds.5.2 Heat TreatmentCastings may be shipped in the as-castcondition. If heat treatment is required, the treatment shall beestablished by mutual consent between the manufact
9、urer andpurchaser and shall be so specified in the inquiry, purchaseorder, or contract.6. Chemical Composition6.1 The castings shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition prescribed in Table 1.7. Tensile Properties7.1 Tensile properties, if required, of the alloy used for thecastings
10、 shall conform to the requirements prescribed in Table2.7.2 Tension tests, if required, shall be performed in accor-dance with Test Methods and Definitions A370.8. Test Specimens8.1 Test specimens, if required, shall be prepared in accor-dance with Test Methods and Definitions A370. Test bars shallb
11、e poured in special blocks from the same heat as the castingsrepresented. Test bars, if required, shall be furnished insufficient number to furnish specimens for the test required inSection 9.8.2 The test coupons shall be cast from the same melt fromwhich the castings they represent are poured, and
12、shall repre-sent the full melting practice. Chemical composition of the testcoupons shall conform to the requirements prescribed in Table1.8.3 Tension test specimens shall be machined to the formand dimensions of the standard round 2-in. 50-mm gagelength specimen shown in Fig. 4 of Test Methods and
13、Defini-tions A370.8.4 Impact test specimens shall conform to the length andcross section dimensions of the specimens shown in Fig. 10 ofTest Methods and Definitions A370.
