General Requirements and Ordering Information3.1Plates3.1 Material supplied to this product specification shall conform to SpecificationA20/A20M, which outlines the testingand retesting methods and procedures, permissible variations in dimensions and mass, quality and re

8、pair of defects, marking,loading, and so forth.3.2Specification . These requirements outline the testing and retesting methods and procedures, permitted variations indimensions and mass, quality and repair of defects, marking, loading, and ordering information.3.2 In addition to the basic requiremen

9、ts of this specification, certain supplementary requirements are available where additionalcontrol, testing, or examination is required to meet end use requirements. The purchaser is referred to the listed supplementaryrequirements in this specification and to the detailed requirements in Specificat

10、ionA20/A20Malso establishes the rules for orderinginformation that should be complied with when purchasing material to this specification.3.3In addition to the basic requirements of this specification, certain supplementary requirements are available where additionalcontrol, testing, or examination

12、d plates. Platesproduced from coil means plates that have been cut to individual lengths from coil. The processor directly controls, or isresponsible for, the operations involved in the processing of coils into finished plates. Such operations include decoiling, leveling,cutting to length, testing,

Materials and Manufacture4.1 Steelmaking PracticeThe steel shall be killed and shall conform to the fine austenitic grain size requir

20、ement ofSpecification A20/A20M.5. Heat Treatment5.1 Plates are normally supplied in the as-rolled condition. Plates may be ordered normalized or stress relieved, or both.6. Chemical Composition6.1 The steel shall conform to the requirements as to chemical composition given in Table 1 unless otherwis

21、e modified inaccordance with Supplementary Requirement S17, Vacuum Carbon-Deoxidized Steel, in Specification A20/A20M.7.
