General Requirements for Delivery3.1 Plates furnished under this specification shall conformto the applicable requirements of the current edition of Speci-fication A 6/A 6M unless a con

7、flict exists, in which case thisspecification shall prevail.4. Materials and Manufacture4.1 The requirements for fine austenitic grain size in Speci-fication A 6/A 6M shall be met.5. Heat Treatment5.1 The plates shall be heat treated by heating to a tempera-ture that produces an austenitic structure

8、, but not exceeding1700F 925C, holding a sufficient time to attain uniformheat throughout the material, quenching in a suitable medium,and tempering at not less than 1100F 593C. The heat-treatment temperatures shall be reported in the test report.6. Chemical Composition6.1 The heat analysis shall co

9、nform to the requirementsgiven in Table 2 for the applicable grade.6.2 The product analysis shall conform to the requirementsgiven in Table 2, subject to the product analysis tolerances inSpecification A 6/A 6M.7. Tension Test7.1 The plates as represented by the test specimens shallconform to the re

10、quirements given in Table 1 specified for theapplicable grade.7.2 Number of TestsOne tension test shall be taken froma corner of each plate as heat treated.8.
