、Designation: A 736/A 736M 03Standard Specification forPressure Vessel Plates, Low-Carbon Age-Hardening Nickel-Copper-Chromium-Molybdenum-Columbium and Nickel-Copper-Manganese-Molybdenum-Columbium Alloy Steel1This standard is issued under the fixed designation A 736/A 736M; the number immediately fol

、lowing the designation indicates the yearof original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This specific

、ation2covers two grades of low-carbonage-hardening alloy steel plates for welded pressure vesselsand piping components. The two grades are nickel-copper-chromium-molybdenum-columbium and nickel-copper-manganese-molybdenum-columbium steels.1.2 Plates under this specification are available in threeCla

Grade A has minimumspecified tensile strength of 72 ksi for thinner plates and 65 and60 ksi for thicker plates, with the minimum tensile strengthdependent upon the plate thickness. The maximum thickness ofGrade A, Class 2 is limited only by the capacity

、 of the chemicalcomposition and heat treatment to meet the specified mechani-cal property requirements; however, current practice usuallylimits the maximum thickness to 8 in. 200 mm.1.2.3 Class 3Quenched and precipitation heat treated.1.2.3.1 Available as Grade A with a minimum specifiedtensile stre
