General Requirements4.1 Product furnished under this specification shall conformto the applicable requirements of Specification A1016/A10
10、16M, unless otherwise provided herein.5. Manufacture5.1 The tubes shall be made by the seamless or weldedprocess with no filler metal added.6. Heat Treatment6.1 All tubes shall be furnished in the heat-treated conditionin accordance with the procedures shown in Table 2. Forseamless tubes, as an alte

Chemical Composition7.1 The steel shall conform to the chemical requirementsprescribed in Table 1.8. Product Analysis8.1 An analysis of either one billet or on
16、e length offlat-rolled stock or one tube shall be made from each heat. Thechemical composition thus determined shall conform to therequirements specified.8.2 A product analysis tolerance (see the annex table onChemical Requirements (Product Analysis Tolerances) inSpecification A480/A480M) shall appl
17、y. The product analysistolerance is not applicable to the carbon content for materialwith a specified maximum carbon of 0.04 % or less.8.3 If the original test for product analysis fails, retests oftwo additional billets, lengths of flat-rolled stock, or tubes shallbe made. Both retests for the elem
18、ents in question shall meetthe requirements of this specification; otherwise, all remainingmaterial in the heat shall be rejected or, at the option of theproducer, each billet or tube may be individually tested foracceptance. Billets, lengths of flat-rolled stock, or tubes that donot meet the requir
19、ements of this specification shall be re-jected.NOTE 1For flange and flaring requirements, the term lot applies to alltubes prior to cutting of the same nominal size and wall thickness that areproduced from the same heat of steel. When final heat treatment is in abatch-type furnace, a lot shall incl
20、ude only those tubes of the same sizeand from the same heat that are heat treated in the same furnace charge.When the final heat treatment is in a continuous furnace, or when heattreated condition is obtained directly by quenching after hot forming, thenumber of tubes of the same size and from the s
21、ame heat in a lot shall bedetermined from the size of the tubes as prescribed in Table 3.NOTE 2For tension and hardness test requirements, the term lotapplies to all tubes prior to cutting, of the same nominal diameter and wallthickness that are produced from the same heat of steel. When final heatt
22、reatment is in a batch-type furnace, a lot shall include only those tubes ofthe same size and the same heat that are heat treated in the same furnacecharge. When the final heat treatment is in a continuous furnace, or whenheat treated condition is obtained directly by quenching after hot forming,a l
23、ot shall include all tubes of the same size and heat, heat treated in thesame furnace at the same temperature, time at heat, and furnace speed, orall tubes of the same size and heat, hot formed and quenched in the sameproduction run.9. Mechanical Tests Required9.1 Tension TestsOne tension test shall
24、 be made on aspecimen for lots of not more than 50 tubes. Tension tests shallbe made on specimens from two tubes for lots of more than 50tubes (see Note 2).9.2 Flaring Test (for Seamless Tubes)One test shall bemade on specimens from one end of one tube from each lot(see Note 1) of finished tubes. Th
25、e minimum expansion of theinside diameter shall be 10 %.9.3 Flange Test (for Welded Tubes)One test shall be madeon specimens from one end of one tube from each lot (see Note1) of finished tubes.9.4 Hardness TestBrinell or Rockwell hardness tests shallbe made on specimens from two tubes from each lot

35、finished tubing.10. Hydrostatic or Nondestructive Electric Test10.1 Each tube shall be subjected to the nondestructiveelectric test or the hydrostatic test. The type of test to be usedshall be at the option of the manufacturer, unless otherwisespecified in the purchase order.10.2 The hydrostatic tes
36、t shall be in accordance with Speci-fication A1016/A1016M, except that in the calculation of thehydrostatic test pressure 64000(441.2) shall be substituted for32000(220.6).11. Tensile and Hardness Properties11.1 The material shall conform to the tensile and hardnessproperties prescribed in Table 4.1

Permissible Variations in Dimensions12.1 Variations in outside diameter, wall thickness, andlength from those specified shall not exceed the amountsprescribed in Table 5.12.2 The permissible variations in outside diameter given inTable 5 are not sufficient to provide for ovality in thin-walledtub
38、es, as defined in the table. In such tubes, the maximum andminimum diameters at any cross section shall deviate from thenominal diameter by no more than twice the permissiblevariation in outside diameter given in Table 5; however, themean diameter at that cross section must still be within thegiven
39、permissible variation.13. Surface Condition13.1 All tubes shall be free of excessive mill scale, suitablefor inspection. A slight amount of oxidation will not beconsidered as scale. Any special finish requirements shall besubject to agreement between the manufacturer and the pur-chaser.14. Product M
40、arking14.1 In addition to the marking prescribed in SpecificationA1016/A1016M, the marking shall indicate whether the tubingis seamless or welded and the wall designation (average wall orminimum wall).15.
