17、ppliers option.4.4 FinishThe plates shall be furnished with a finish asspecified on the order.4.5 Repair by Welding:4.5.1 Repairs by welding shall be performed by competentwelders using low-hydrogen electrodes selected so that thechemical composition of the deposited weld metal is similar tothe nomi
18、nal composition of the base plate.4.5.2 If repair by welding is not acceptable, or if approval ofthe welding procedure by the purchaser is required, the ordershall so specify.5. Chemical Composition5.1 The heat analysis shall conform to the requirements forthe applicable grade listed in Table 1, unl
19、ess otherwise speci-fied as in 5.2.5.2 The chemical composition for heat analysis may bespecified in accordance with the ranges and limits listed inTable 2. In such instances, the heat analysis shall conform tothe requirements specified on the order.6. Tensile Requirements6.1 When tensile requiremen
20、ts are specified, the require-ments must be compatible with the chemical composition,condition, and the plate thickness.6.2 The specified tensile strength range shall be not less thanthe applicable range listed in Table 3.7. General Requirements for Delivery7.1 Material furnished under this specific
21、ation shall con-form to the requirements of the current edition of SpecificationA6/A6M, for the ordered material, unless a conflict exists inwhich case this specification shall prevail.8. Certification8.1 A report of the heat analysis and the results of all testsrequired by the order shall be furnis
22、hed to the purchaser. Thereport shall also include a certification that the material wasmanufactured in accordance with the requirements of thisspecification.9.
