Scope1.1 This specification covers austenitic, stainless steel,ne
3、edle tubing in hard-drawn tempers for industrial applica-tions.1.2 In general, needle tubing describes small-diameter tub-ing with outside diameters (ODs) in the range of 0.008 to 0.203in. (0.2 to 5.2 mm) with nominal wall thicknesses in the rangeof 0.002 to 0.015 in. (0.05 to 0.4 mm). Needle tubing

General Requirements5.1 Material furnished in accordance with this specificationshall conform to the applicable requirements of the currentedition of Specification A1016/A1016M, unless otherwiseprovided herein.6. Manufacture6.1 Needle tubing shall be
8、 made by the seamless or weldedand drawn process and shall be furnished in the hard-drawntemper condition.7. Heat Treatment7.1 Unless otherwise specified by the purchaser, no heattreatment is required.8. Chemical Composition8.1 Stainless steel, Type 304, UNS S30400, in accordancewith Table 1 shall b
9、e used.8.2 Heat AnalysisAn analysis of each heat of steel shall bemade by the manufacturer from samples made during the pour.The chemical composition thus determined shall meet therequirements of Table 1.8.3 Product AnalysisAn analysis may be made by thepurchaser from finished tubing. The chemical c
10、omposition thusdetermined shall meet the requirements of Table 1.9. Mechanical Properties9.1 Tensile RequirementsThe tubing shall meet the tensileproperties specified in Table 2. Yield strength, elongation, andhardness tests are not required for needle tubing.9.2 Number of TestsTwo tension tests for
11、 each 5000 ft ofproduct per heat shall be performed.10.
