1、Designation: B108/B108M 14Standard Specification forAluminum-Alloy Permanent Mold Castings1This standard is issued under the fixed designation B108/B108M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the yearof original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. Scope*1.1 This specification2covers aluminum-alloy perman

3、entmold castings designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is for aluminum-alloy permanentmold castings used in general purpose applications. It may notaddress the mechanical properties, integrity testing, and veri-fication required for highly loaded or safety critical applica-tions.1.3

4、Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1/H35.1(M). The equivalent unified numberingsystem alloy designations are in accordance with PracticeE527.1.4 Unless the order specifies the “M” specificationdesignation, the material shall be furnished to the inch-poundunits.1.5 For accep

5、tance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification,see Annex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. Thevalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalen

6、ts;therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
