MaterialMaterials and Manufacture5.1 Material:Materials:5.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be anne
16、aled plate, sheet, strip, or disks of wrought Copper Alloy UNS No. C26000processed to produce even-topped cups.5.2 Manufacture:5.2.1 The product shall be manufactured by such blanking and cupping to meet the cup dimensions specified, and subsequentlyannealed. The annealed cups shall be pickled, wash
17、ed, and dried.6. Chemical Composition6.1 The material shall conform to the chemical composition requirements in Table 1.6.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presence of other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer andpurchaser, limits may be established and analysesanalysis requ
18、ired for unnamed elements6.3 Because zinc is listed as “remainder”“remainder,” either copper or zinc may be taken as the difference between the sum ofresults of all other elements determined and 100 %.When all elements in Table 1 are determined, the sum of results shall be 99.7 %min.7. Temper7.1 Ann
19、ealed (OS)The standard temper of annealed material are as designated tempers for products described in thisspecification are given in Table 2. Nominal grain size and standard designations are detailed in Classification B601 are shown.7.1.1 Annealed tempers OS080 and OS110.8. Grain Size for Annealed
20、Tempers8.1 Grain size shall be the standard requirement for all productsproduct in the annealed temper.tempers.8.1.1 Unless there is a prior agreement between the purchaser and supplier, the grain size for 0.30, 0.45, and 0.50 calibers willbe produced to the grain size requirements specified in Tabl

Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance10.1 The cups shall be uniform in quality and shall be free of oil, grease, oxidation, stains, scale, chips, acid, dirt or grit, dentedor bent edges, laminat
25、ions, slivers, laps, cracks, deep scratches, wrinkles, or other injurious defects which would interfere with thepurpose for which the cups are intended. The cups, subsequent to annealing, shall be pickled, washed, and dried.11. Sampling11.1 The lot size, portion size, and selection of pieces shall b

28、p in the sample shall be visually inspected.12.2.1.1 Major DefectsNot more than 0.25 % of the cups in the sample shall contain the following major defects scalymetal, deep scratches, laminations, slivers, laps, cracks, and wrinkles.12.2.1.2 Minor DefectsNot more than 2 % of the cups in the sample sh
29、all contain the following minor defects oily cup,greasy cup, dirty or gritty cup, oxidized cup, stained cup, dented or bent edges, and scratches.12.2.2 Grain SizeSpecimens taken from each sample piece selected in accordance with 11.1.2.1 shall be tested forconformance to the grain size requirement.N

31、12.3.1 If the chemical analysis fails to conform to the specified limits, analysis shall be made on a composite sample, preparedfrom the pieces selected from each portion involved, consisting of either 15 cups from Type I or two cups from Type II. The resultsof this retest shall comply with the spec
32、ified requirements.12.3.2 Failure of more than two samples of Type I cups to comply to the grain size requirements shall be cause for rejectionof the lot. If two samples fail to comply a retest shall be permitted on a sample double that of the original sample. Each of thespecimens so retested shall

Inspection16.1 The manufacturer, or supplier, shall inspect and make the tests necessary to verify the furnished product conforms tospecification requirements.16.2 Measurement of DimensionsEach sample cup shall be gaged for compliance with all the dimensions shown on theapplicable drawing. In addition, each cup in the sample shall be measured for side wall thickness at two or more opposite pointson the same periphery.
