3、 bronzecastings for turntables, movable bridges and bridge parts, andbronze castings suitable for use in bridges and other structuresfor fixed and expansion bearings in which motion is slow andintermittent. The following Copper Alloys are specified: UNSNo. C86300, C90500, C91100, C91300, and C93700.

Materials and Manufacture6.1 Material(s):6.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be a casting ofCopper Alloy UNS No.(s) C86300, C90500, C91100, C91300,or C93700 of such purity and soundness as to be suitable forprocessing in to the products prescribed herein.6.1.2 When specified in the contract
22、 or purchase order, thatheat identification or traceability is required, the purchasershall specify the details desired.6.2 Manufacture:6.2.1 The product shall be manufactured by such castingmethods to produce a uniform finished product.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the ch
23、emical compositionrequirements in Table 1 for the copper alloy UNS No.designation specified in the ordering information.7.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer andpurchaser, limits may be established and analysis required foru
24、nnamed elements.7.3 For UNS No. C86300 copper or zinc may be taken asthe difference between the sum of the results of all otherelements determined and 100 %.7.4 For UNS No. C90500, C91100, C91300, and C93700copper may be taken as the difference between the sum of theresults of all elements determine

31、pression Deformation Requirement:9.2.1 For Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C86300, C91100, andC91300 furnished under this specification shall conform to thecompression deformation requirements in Table 3A, Table 3B,and Table 3C. The deformation limit in compression shall bedetermined as the load which produce
32、s a permanent set of0.001 in. 0.025 mm in the compression test specimen de-scribed in 12.2.2.9.2.2 Acceptance or rejection based upon mechanical prop-erties shall depend on the compression deformation.9.3 Brinell Hardness Requirement:9.3.1 For Copper Alloy UNS No. C86300 furnished underthis specific
33、ation shall conform to the Brinell hardness require-ment prescribed in Table 3, when tested in accordance withTest Method E10 on the finished casting.10. Sampling10.1 Refer to sampling section in Specification B824.10.2 For Copper Alloy UNS No. C86300 castings, onetensile sample, one compression tes
34、t sample, and two hardnesstests samples shall be made for each four castings from thesame lot and the same pattern.10.3 For Copper Alloy UNS No. C91100 and C91300 onecompression sample shall be made from each lot and the samepattern.10.4 For Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C90500 and C93700 onetensile sample
35、shall be made from each lot and the samepattern.10.5 For castings of any grade weighing over 100 lb 45 kgfinished, the specified tests shall be made for each casting.11.
