Terminology3.1 For definitions of

Materials and Manufacture4.1 Materials:4.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be a form of theCopper or Copper Alloy UNS No. designati
25、on specified in theordering information of such purity and soundness as to besuitable for processing into the products described in theproduct specification.4.1.2 When specified in the contract or purchase order, thatheat identification or traceability is required, the purchasershall specify the det
26、ails desired.NOTE 1Due to the discontinuous nature of the processing of castingsinto wrought products, it is not always practical to identify specific castinganalysis with a specific quantity of finished product.4.2 ManufactureThe product shall be manufactured bysuch hot working, cold working, and a
27、nnealing processes as toproduce a uniform wrought structure in the finished product.4.2.1 The product shall be hot or cold worked to the finishedsize and subsequently annealed or heat treated when required,and straightened to meet the properties specified.4.2.2 EdgesThe edge shall be drawn, extruded
28、, or rolled;refer to Edge Contours in Section 6.5. Chemical Composition5.1 The material shall conform to the chemical compositionrequirements prescribed in the product specification.5.1.1 Results of analysis on a product (check) sample shallconform to the composition requirements within the permitte
29、danalytical variance given in the product specification.5.2 The composition limits established for the Copper orCopper Alloy UNS No. designation specified in the productspecification do not preclude the presence of other elements.By agreement between the manufacturer or supplier and thepurchaser. 30、mits may be established and analysis required forunnamed elements.5.3 When material composition has been determined duringthe course of manufacture, analysis of the finished product bythe manufacturer is not required.6. Dimensions, Mass and Permissible Variations6.1 GeneralFor the purpose of determi

38、ification shown in the title.6.3 LengthRod, bar, and shapes shall be furnished in stocklengths with ends, unless the order specifies stock lengths,specific lengths, or specific lengths with ends as specified inTable 13, Table 14, and Table 15 for the product specificationindicated:Table 13Length tol

40、 drawn rod, bar, andshapes, other than shafting rod, piston-finish rod shall befurnished in straight lengths. The deviation from straightnessshall not exceed the limitations specified in Table 16 for eithergeneral or automatic screw machine use for the productspecifications and alloys shown in the t

To determinecompliance with this tolerance, the lengths shall, in case ofdisagreement, be checked by the following method:6.4.1.1 Place the lengths on a level table so that the arc ordeparture from straightness is horizontal.
