Scope1.1 This specification covers hot- and cold-rolled zirconiumand zirconium alloy sh

3、eet, strip, and plate.1.2 One unalloyed and three alloys for use in nuclearapplications are described.1.3 The products covered in this specification include thefollowing forms and sizes:1.3.1 Sheet, 24 in. 600 mm or more in width; under 0.187in. 4.8 mm) in thickness,1.3.2 Strip, less than 24 in. 600

4、 mm in width; under 0.187in. 4.8 mm in thickness, and1.3.3 Plate, over 10 in. 250 mm in width; 0.187 in. 4.8mm and over in thickness.NOTE 1Material over 0.187 in. 4.8 mm in thickness and less than 10in. 250 mm wide is covered as bar in Specification B351/B351M.1.4 Unless a single unit is used, for e

Terminology3.1 Definitions of Terms Specific to This Standard:3.1.1 annealed, ndenotes material that exhibits a r

10、ecrys-tallized grain structure.3.2 Lot Definition:3.2.1 Sheet, strip, and plate products (single definition,common to nuclear and non-nuclear standards), na lot shallconsist of a material of the same size, shape, condition, andfinish produced from the same ingot or powder blend by thesame reduction

11、schedule and the same heat treatment param-eters. Unless otherwise agreed between manufacturer andpurchaser, a lot shall be limited to the product of an 8 h periodfor final continuous anneal, or to a single furnace load for finalbatch anneal.4. Ordering Information4.1 Purchase orders for material un

Materials and Ma

19、nufacture5.1 Materials covered by this specification shall be pro-duced in accordance with Specification B350/B350M; allprocesses to be done in furnaces usually used for reactivemetals.6. Condition6.1 Sheet, strip, or plate shall be furnished in one of thefollowing conditions as designated on the pu

Maximum, minimum, or b

26、oth, permissible values should be specified in the purchaseorder.B352/B352M 11 (2016)27.2 The analysis of the material produced to this specifica-tion shall be the one made by the manufacturer on the ingot inaccordance with Specification B350/B350M. This analysis canbe performed by the manufacturer

27、on the ingot itself, or onintermediate or final products with the same frequency and inthe same positions relative to the ingot as required in Specifi-cation B350/B350M. The chemical analysis of hydrogen,oxygen, and nitrogen shall be determined on the finishedproduct.7.3 Analysis shall be made using

28、 the manufacturers stan-dard methods. In the event of disagreement as to the chemicalcomposition of the metal, methods of chemical analysis forreference purposes shall be determined by a mutually accept-able laboratory.7.4 Product AnalysisProduct analysis is an analysis madeby the purchaser or the m

29、anufacturer for the purpose ofverifying the composition of the lot. The product analysistolerances reflect the variation between laboratories in themeasurement of chemical composition. The permissible varia-tion of the product analysis from the specified range is asprescribed in Table 3.7.5 Number o

30、f TestsTwo random samples for each 4000 lb1800 kg or fraction thereof shall be analyzed for hydrogen,nitrogen, and oxygen.8. Mechanical Properties8.1 The material shall conform to the requirements pre-scribed in Table 2 for longitudinal room-temperature mechani-cal properties. Transverse and elevate

31、d temperature propertiesshall be used to determine compliance only when specified inthe purchase order. When material is ordered in a conditionother than those given in Table 2, the specimens shall be heattreated as referenced in Table 2 prior to test.8.2 The yield strength shall be determined by th

32、e offsetmethod using 0.2 % criterion as prescribed in Test MethodsE8/E8M.8.3 The tensile properties shall be determined using a strainrate of 0.003 to 0.007 in./in. mm/mm/min through the yieldstrength. After the yield strength has be exceeded, the crosshead speed should be increased to approximately

33、 0.05 in./in.mm/mm/min to failure.8.4 The tensile properties shall be determined in accordancewith Test Methods E8/E8M or E21.8.5 Number of TestsFor each lot, two random samples foreach 4000 lb 1800 kg or fraction thereof shall be tested formechanical properties.9. Corrosion Properties9.1 Two sample

34、s chosen at random from each 4000 lb 1800kg or fraction thereof shall be corrosion tested in steam at750F 399C, 1500 psi 10.3 MPa for 72 h or 336 h at theoption of the manufacturer in accordance with Test MethodG2/G2M.9.2 Acceptance Criterion:9.2.1 Grades R60802 and R60804All coupons thus testedshal

35、l exhibit a continuous, black, lustrous oxide film and befree of white or brown corrosion product in excess of standardspreviously agreed upon between manufacturer and purchaser.Coupons shall exhibit a weight gain of not more than 22mg/dm2in a 72-h test or 38 mg/dm2in a 336-h test.9.2.2 Grade R60901

Special Tests12.1 Ultrasonic Inspection:12.1.1 In lieu of the ultrasonic test of the ingot as specifiedin B350/B350M, the manufacturer may alternatively performultrasonic inspection at an intermediate size in accordance withPractices E114, with the approval of the purchaser.12.1.2 Unless otherw

45、ise approved by the purchaser, thereference standard shall consist of a 0.06 in. 1.5 mm flatbottom hole drilled perpendicular to the longitudinal productaxis to a depth of 0.5 in. 13 mm.12.1.3 Any defect reflections greater than the indicationfrom the reference standard should be rejected.12.2 Addit

46、ional tests may be specified in the purchase order.The test method and standards shall be agreed upon in advancebetween manufacturer and purchaser.13. Workmanship and Appearance13.1 Sheet, strip, or plate shall be free of cracks, seams,slivers, blisters, and other injurious imperfections in accor-da

47、nce with standards of acceptability agreed upon between themanufacturer and the purchaser.14. Finish14.1 Hot-rolled sheet, strip, or plate shall be furnished withone of the following finishes as designated in the purchaseorder:14.1.1 Not descaled,14.1.2 Conditioned (spot grinding to remove imperfect

48、ionswithin the thickness tolerance),14.1.3 Mechanically descaled, or14.1.4 Mechanically descaled, conditioned and pickled.14.2 Cold-rolled sheet or strip shall be furnished with one ofthe following as designated in the purchase order:14.2.1 Cold-rolled,14.2.2 Ground 32 in. 0.8 m rms or better, or14.

Edge15.1 Hot-Rolled StripThe following types of edges areavailable on hot-rolled strip:15.1.1 Mill edge,15.1.2 Slit edge,15.1.3 Sheared edge, and15.1.4 Machined edge.15.2 Cold-Rolled StripA slit edge is normally furnishedon cold-rolled strip.
