Chemical Composition6.1 The material shall conform to the chemical composi-tional requirements in Table 1 for the copper a

17、lloy UNS No.designation specified in the ordering information.6.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer andpurchaser, limits may be established and analysis required forunnamed elements.6.3 Either copper or zinc may be taken as

18、the differencebetween the sum of all elements analyzed and 100 %. Temper7.1 As Hot-Rolled (M20)The standard temper of sheetand plate and produced by hot rolling as designated in Table 2or Table 3.7.2 Rolled (H)The standard tempers of rolled material areas designated in Table 2orTable 3 with the prefix “H”.Former designations and

20、the standard designations as detailedin Classification B 601 are shown.7.3 Annealed (OS)The standard tempers of annealed ma-terial are as designated in Tables 4 and 5. Nominal grain sizeand the standard designations are detailed in ClassificationB 601 are shown.7.4 Annealed-To-Temper (O)The standard

21、 tempers ofannealed-to-temper material are as designated in Table 6 orTable 7 with the prefix “O.” Former designations and thestandard designations as detailed in Classification B 601 areshown.7.5 Special or nonstandard tempers are subject to negotia-tion between the manufacturer and purchaser (see

22、5.1.5).8. Grain Size8.1 Grain size shall be standard requirement for all productsof the annealed (OS) tempers.8.2 Acceptance or rejection based upon grain size shalldepend only on the average grain size of the test specimens andshall be within the limits prescribed in Table 4 when deter-mined in acc

23、ordance with Test Methods E 112.8.3 The average grain size shall be determined on a planeparallel to the surface of the product.9. Mechanical Properties9.1 Tensile Strength Requirements of Rolled Tempers9.1.1 Product furnished under this specification shall con-form to the tensile strength requireme

24、nts prescribed in Table 2or Table 3 when tested in accordance with Test Methods E8orE8M. The test specimens shall be taken so the longitudinalaxis of the specimen is parallel to the direction of rolling.9.1.2 Acceptance or rejection based upon mechanical prop-erties shall depend only on tensile stre

25、ngth.9.2 Tensile Strength Requirements of Annealed-to-Temper9.2.1 Product furnished under this specification shall con-form to the tensile strength requirements prescribed in Table 6or Table 7 when tested in accordance with Test Methods E8orE8M. The test specimens shall be taken so the longitudinala

26、xis of the specimen is parallel to the direction of rolling.9.2.2 Acceptance or rejection based upon mechanical prop-erties shall depend only on tensile strength.9.3 Rockwell Hardness9.3.1 The approximate Rockwell hardness values given inTable 2 or Table 3, Table 5, and Table 6 or Table 7 are forgen
