Material and Manufact

17、ure6.1 Material:6.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be cast or wroughtbillet of Copper Alloy UNS No. C17000 or C17200 of suchpurity and soundness as to be suitable for processing into theproducts prescribed herein.6.1.2 The product heat number shall appear on the certifi-cation or test report.6.

18、2 Manufacture:6.2.1 The product shall be manufactured by hot workingand heat treating, when required, to meet the temper propertiesspecified.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the chemical compositionrequirements in Table 1 for the copper alloy UNS No.designation specified in t

19、he ordering information.7.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer andpurchaser, limits may be established and analysis required forunnamed elements.7.3 For alloys in which copper is listed as “remainder,”copper is the difference

20、 between the sum of results of allelements determined and 100 %. When all the elements givenin Table 1 are determined, the sum of the results shall be99.5 % minimum.8. Temper8.1 The standard tempers for products described in thisspecification are given in Tables 2 and 3.8.1.1 The standard temper des

21、ignations available under thisspecification and as prescribed in Classification B601 are TB00solution heat-treated (A) and TF00 precipitation heat-treated(AT).9. Grain Size9.1 The grain size, if required, shall be as agreed uponbetween the purchaser and the manufacturer and shall bedetermined in acc

22、ordance with Test Methods E112.10. Physical Property Requirements10.1 Microstructure:10.1.1 The product in the TF00 (precipitation-hardened(AT) condition shall have a microstructure with a minimum ofsecond phase (beta) constituents. When present, beta shall befine and well dispersed.11. Mechanical P

23、roperty Requirements11.1 HardnessThe product furnished under this specifica-tion shall conform to the hardness requirements prescribed inTable 2 for the solution heat-treated condition and Table 3 afterprecipitation heat treatment, unless tensile properties are re-quired by the purchase order. Rockw

24、ell hardness shall bedetermined in accordance with Test Methods E18.11.2 TensileWhen specified in the contract or purchaseorder, the tensile properties of the product furnished shallconform to the properties in Table 2 or Table 3 depending upontemper required. Tensile properties shall be determined

25、inaccordance with Test Methods E8/E8M.12. Heat Treatment12.1 Solution Heat TreatmentTemper TB00 (A)Theproduct shall be heated to a uniform temperature, nominally1450F (788C) and quenched commensurate with the requiredproperty and structural integrity of the configuration.12.2 Precipitation Heat Trea

26、tmentTemper TF00 (AT)The product shall be heat treated to a uniform temperature inthe range from 600 to 700F (316 to 370C) for a minimum of2 to 3 h and then air cooled. This is the heat treatment for theacceptance tests shown in Table 3.12.3 Special combinations of properties may be obtained byspeci

27、al precipitation heat treatments. The requirements forthese special heat treatments shall be agreed upon by themanufacturer or supplier and purchaser.13. Purchases for the U.S. Government13.1 When specified in the contract or purchase order,product purchased for agencies of the U.S. government shall

28、conform to the special government regulations specified in theSupplementary Requirements section.14. Dimensions and Permissible Variations14.1 The dimensions and tolerances for these product formsshall be those shown on the drawing that forms a part of eachorder or as agreed upon between the manufac

Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance15.1 The product shall be free of defects but blemishes of anature that do not interfere with the intended application areacceptable.15.2 The purchaser shall specify in the order the conditionor finish required, such as, hot-worked, hot-worked and

Test Methods16.1 Chemical Composition:16.2 The chemical composition shall, in case ofdisagreement, be determined in accordance with the applicablemethod in the Annex of Specification B194.16.3 Test method(s) for the determination of element(s)required
