Scope*1.1 This specification covers welded tubes made from thenickel and nickel-cobalt alloys (UNS N10001, UNS N10242,UNS N10665, UNS N12160, UNS N10629, UNS N10624,UNS N10675, UNS N10276, UNS N06455, UNS N06007,UNS N06975, UNS N08320, UNS N06985, UNS N06002,UNS N06022, UNS N06030, UNS N0603

4、5, UNS N06058,UNS N06059, UNS N06200, UNS N10362, UNS N06210,UNS N08031, UNS R30556, UNS N06230, UNS N06686, andUNS R20033)2listed in Table 1 intended for heat exchangerand condenser tubes and tubes for general corrosive service forheat-resisting applications.1.2 This specification covers tube18 to

5、312 in. (3.2 to 88.9mm) in outside diameter and 0.015 to 0.148 in. (0.41 to 3.7mm) inclusive, in wall thickness.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. General Requirements3.1 Material furnished in accordance with this specificationshall conform to the applicable requirements of the currentedition of Specification B751 unless otherwise providedherein.4. Class

9、ification4.1 Five classes of tube are covered as follows:4.1.1 Class IAWelded, sized, solution annealed, and non-destructively tested in accordance with 4.2.1.4.1.2 Class IBWelded, sized, and solution annealed.4.1.3 Class IIAWelded, cold worked, solution annealed,and nondestructively tested in accor

10、dance with 4.2.1.4.1.4 Class IIBWelded, cold worked, and solution an-nealed.4.1.5 Class IIIWelded, cold worked, solution annealed,and nondestructively tested in accordance with 4.2.2.4.2 Nondestructive Tests:4.2.1 Class IA and Class IIA TubesEach finished tubeshall be subjected to the hydrostatic te

11、st, the pneumatic test, orthe eddy current test at the manufacturers option.4.2.2 Class III TubesEach finished tube shall be subjectedto the pneumatic test and the eddy current test. Tubes largerthan 112 in. (38.1 mm) in outside diameter may be subjected tothe hydrostatic test in lieu of the pneumat

Ordering Information5.1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify allrequirements that are necessary for material ordered under thisspecification. Examples of such require

26、ments include, but arenot limited to the following:5.1.1 Alloy (Table 1),5.1.2 Class (see 4),5.1.3 Quantity (feet or number of lengths),5.1.4 Size (outside diameter and average wall thickness),5.1.5 Length (cut or random),5.1.6 CertificationState if certification or a report of testresults is requir

27、ed,5.1.7 Purchaser InspectionState which tests or inspec-tions are to be witnessed,5.1.8 EndsPlain ends cut and deburred will be furnished,unless otherwise specified, and5.1.9 Samples for Product (Check) AnalysisState whethersamples shall be furnished.6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 The tubes shall

28、be made from flat-rolled alloy by anautomatic welding process with no addition of filler metal.6.2 Subsequent to welding and prior to final heat treatment,Class II and Class III tubes shall be cold worked either in bothweld and base metal or in weld metal only. The method andamount of cold working m

29、ay be specified by the purchaser.When cold drawn, the purchaser may specify the minimumamount of reduction in cross-sectional area or wall thickness,or both.6.3 All tubes shall be furnished in the solution annealed anddescaled condition. When atmosphere control is used, descal-ing is not necessary.7

30、. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the requirements forchemical composition prescribed in Table 1. One test isrequired for each lot as defined in Specification B751.7.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to the requirementsspec

31、ified in Table 1 subject to permissible variations specifiedin Specification B751.8. Mechanical Properties and Other Requirements8.1 Mechanical PropertiesThe material shall conform tothe mechanical properties prescribed in Table 2. One test isrequired for each lot as defined in Specification B751.8.

32、2 Flattening Test Requirements:8.2.1 Evidence of laminated or unsound material or ofincomplete weld that is revealed during the entire flattening testshall be cause for rejection.8.2.2 Surface imperfections in the test specimens beforeflattening, but revealed during the flattening test, shall bejudg

33、ed in accordance with the finish requirements.8.2.3 Superficial ruptures resulting from surface imperfec-tions shall not be cause for rejection.8.2.4 One test is required for each lot as defined in Speci-fication B751.8.3 Flange Test Requirements:8.3.1 Flange test specimens shall show no cracking or

34、 flaws.Superficial ruptures resulting from surface imperfections shallnot be cause for rejection.8.3.2 For tube less than 0.093 in. (2.36 mm) in insidediameter and tube having a wall thickness equal to or greaterthan the inside diameter, the flange test shall not be required.8.3.3 One test is requir

35、ed for each lot as defined in Speci-fication B751.8.4 Hydrostatic TestWhen tested by the manufacturer,each tube shall be subjected to the hydrostatic test perSpecification B751.8.5 Pneumatic TestWhen tested by the manufacturer, eachtube shall be subjected to the pneumatic test per SpecificationB751.
