Scope1.1 This specification covers UNS N08367* welded pipe forgeneral corrosion applications.1.2 Specification B775 lists the dimensions of welded stain-

3、less steel pipe as shown in ANSI B36.19. Pipe having otherdimensions may be furnished provided such pipe complieswith all other requirements of this specification.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to S

Terminology3.1 Terms defined in Terminology B899 shall apply unlessotherwise defined in this standard.4. General Requirement4.1 Material furnished in accordance with this specificat

7、ionshall conform to the applicable requirements of the currentedition of Specification B775 unless otherwise providedherein.5. Classification5.1 Class 1Welded, cold worked, solution treated, andeach piece of each lot subjected to one of the following fourtests: hydrostatic, pneumatic (air underwater

8、), eddy current, orultrasonic.5.2 Class 2Welded, cold worked, solution treated, andeach piece of each lot leak tested (hydrostatic or pneumatic)plus electric tested (eddy current or ultrasonic).6. Ordering Information6.1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify allrequirements that are n

9、ecessary for material ordered under thisspecification. Examples of such requirements include, but arenot limited to, the following:6.1.1 Alloy name or UNS number,6.1.2 ASTM designation and year of issue,6.1.3 Dimensions:6.1.3.1 Pipe size,6.1.3.2 Length (specific or random),6.1.4 Class (see Section 5

10、),6.1.5 Quantity (feet or number of pieces),6.1.6 CertificationState if certification is required,6.1.7 Samples for Product (Check) AnalysisState whethersamples for product (check) analysis should be furnished, and6.1.8 Purchaser InspectionIf the purchaser wishes towitness tests or inspection of mat

11、erial at the place ofmanufacture, the purchase order must so state indicating whichtests or inspections are to be witnessed.7. Material and Manufacture7.1 Pipe shall be made from flat-rolled alloy by an auto-matic welding process with no addition of filler metal. Subse-quent to welding and prior to

12、final solution treatment, Class 1and Class 2 material shall be cold worked either in both weldand base metal or in weld metal only.1This specification is under the jurisdiction of ASTM Committee B02 onNonferrous Metals and Alloys and is the direct responsibility of SubcommitteeB02.07 on Refined Nick

United States1NOTE 1The recommended heat treatment shall consist of heating to aminimum temperature of 2025F (1105C) for UNS N08367 and quench-ing in water or rapidly cooling by other means.7.2 Pipe shall be furnished with oxide rem

16、oved. Whensolution treatment is performed in a protective atmosphere,descaling is not necessary.8. Chemical Composition8.1 The material shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition prescribed in Table 1. One test isrequired for each lot as defined in Specification B775.8.2 If a produc

17、t (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the material shall conform to the product (check)analysis variations specified in Specification B775.9. Mechanical Properties and Other Requirements9.1 Mechanical PropertiesThe material shall conform tothe mechanical properties prescribed in Table 2.

18、One test isrequired for each lot as defined in Specification B775.9.2 Flattening Test Requirements:9.2.1 Flattening test specimens shall show no cracks orbreaks on the inside, outside, or end surfaces during the firststep of the test.9.2.2 Evidence of laminated or unsound material or ofincomplete we

19、ld that is revealed during the entire flattening testshall be cause for rejection.9.2.3 Surface imperfections not evident in the test speci-mens before flattening, but revealed during the first step of theflattening test, shall be judged in accordance with the finishrequirements.9.2.4 Superficial ru

20、ptures resulting from surface imperfec-tions shall not be cause for rejection.9.3 Nondestructive Test Requirements:9.3.1 Pipe shall be subjected to a pressure test or nonde-structive electric test in accordance with Specification B775.10.
