General Requirement3.1 Material furnished in accordance with this specificationshall conform to the applicable requirements of the currentedition of Specification B 775 unless otherwise providedherein.4. Ordering
7、 Information4.1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify allrequirements that are necessary for the safe and satisfactoryperformance of material ordered under this specification.Examples of such requirements include, but are not limited to,the following:4.1.1 Alloy name or UNS number.4.1
8、.2 ASTM designation and year of issue.4.1.3 Condition (temper) (Table 1).4.1.4 Dimensions:4.1.4.1 Nominal pipe size or outside diameter and schedulenumber or nominal wall thickness.4.1.4.2 Length (specific or random).4.1.5 Quantity (feet or metres, or number of pieces).4.1.6 CertificationState if ce
9、rtification or a report of testresults is required.4.1.7 Samples for Product (Check) AnalysisState whethersamples for product (check) analysis should be furnished.4.1.8 Purchaser InspectionIf purchaser wishes to witnesstests or inspection of material at place of manufacture, thepurchase order must s
10、o state indicating which tests or inspec-tions are to be witnessed.5. Material and Manufacture5.1 The pipe shall be made from flat-rolled alloy conform-ing to Specification B 718, by an automatic welding processwith no addition of filler metal.5.2 Pipe shall be furnished annealed after welding, with
11、oxide removed. When final heat treatment is performed in aprotective atmosphere, descaling is not necessary.6. Chemical Requirements6.1 The material shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition specified in Table 1.6.2 If a product (check) analysis is performed by thepurchaser, the ma
12、terial shall conform to the product (check)analysis variations in the Dimensions of Pipe table in Specifi-cation B 775.7. Mechanical and Other Requirements7.1 The mechanical properties of the material at roomtemperature shall conform to those shown in Table 2.7.2 Flattening TestOne flattening test s

16、. Dimensions and Permissible Variations8.1 LengthsPipe lengths shall be in accordance with thefollowing regular practice.8.1.1 Unless otherwise agreed upon, all sizes from18 in.(3.17 mm) to 8 in. (203 mm) nominal pipe size are available ina length up to 24 ft (7.32 m). The aim range will be 20 to 24
17、ft (6.10 to 7.32 m) with the permissible range of 15 to 24 ft(4.57 to 7.32 m). Short lengths are acceptable and the numberand minimum length shall be agreed upon between themanufacturer and purchaser.8.1.2 If definite cut lengths are desired the lengths acquiredshall be specified in the order. When
18、material is ordered cut tolength, the length shall conform to the permissible variationsprescribed in Specification B 775.8.1.3 No jointers are permitted unless otherwise specified.9.
