3、l (UNS N02200) and lowcarbon nickel (UNS N02201 and UNS N04400) in the form ofwelded and annealed or welded and stress relieved pipeintended for general corrosive service and for mechanicalapplications.1.2 This specification covers outside diameter and nominalwall pipe in Schedules 5S, 10S, and 40S

4、through 30-in.nominal pipe size shown in ANSI B36.19 (see Table 1). Pipehaving other dimensions may be furnished provided such pipecomplies with all other requirements of this specification.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. 17、ry Requirements.4. Materials and Manufacture4.1 Pipe shall be made from flat-rolled alloy by an auto-matic welding process with no addition of filler metal. Subse-quent to welding and prior to final heat treatment, the pipe shallbe cold worked to assure that optimum corrosion resistance inthe weld a

18、rea and base metal will be developed during heattreatment.4.2 Pipe shall be furnished with a scale free finish. Whenbright annealing is used, descaling is not necessary.5. 28、ements6.1 Mechanical PropertiesThe material shall conform tothe requirements for mechanical properties prescribed in Table2.6.2 Flattening Test RequirementsFlattening test speci-mens made in accordance with 12.3 shall show no cracks orbreaks on the inside, outside, or end surfaces.6.3 Transverse Gui

29、ded Bend TestSee 12.6.3 for accep-tance criteria.6.4 Nondestructive Tests:6.4.1 Pipe shall be subjected to the nondestructive testsoutlined in the following test categories.6.4.1.1 Category 1Hydrostatic, eddy-current, or ultra-sonic test at the manufacturers option unless the purchaserspecifies in a

30、ccordance with 3.1.9.6.4.1.2 Category 2Hydrostatic plus eddy-current or ultra-sonic test at the manufacturers option unless the purchaserspecifies in accordance with 3.1.9.6.4.1.3 The manufacturer shall have the option to use TestCategory 1 or 2 if the purchaser does not specify the testcategory opt

31、ions in accordance with 3.1.9.6.4.2 Hydrostatic TestWhen tested in accordance with therequirements of 12.4, any pipe that leaks shall be rejected. Anyleaking area may be cut out and the pipe retested.6.4.3 Acceptance and RejectionPipe producing a signalequal to or greater than the calibration imperf

32、ection shall besubject to rejection.6.4.3.1 Test signals produced by imperfections that cannotbe identified or produced by cracks or crack-like imperfectionsshall result in rejection of the pipe subject to rework and retest.To be accepted, the pipe must pass the same electric test towhich it was ori

33、ginally subjected provided that the dimensionalrequirements are met.6.4.3.2 If the imperfection is judged as injurious, the pipeshall be rejected but may be reconditioned and retestedproviding the dimensional requirements are met. To beaccepted, retested pipe shall meet the original electric testreq

34、uirements.6.4.3.3 If the imperfection is explored to the extent that itcan be identified as noninjurious, the pipe may be acceptedwithout further test, providing the imperfection does notencroach on the minimum wall thickness.7. Dimensions and Permissible Variations7.1 The outside diameter shall not

35、 exceed the permissiblevariations prescribed in Table 4.7.1.1 Pipe having a specified wall thickness that is 3 % orless of the outside diameter cannot be straightened properlywithout a certain amount of ovality resulting in the diameter.The limits to this ovality are stated in Footnote B of Table 4.

36、7.2 The wall thickness shall not vary from nominal by morethan 61212 %.7.3 StraightnessMaterial shall be reasonably straight andfree of bends or kinks.7.4 LengthVariations from the specified length shall notexceed the amounts prescribed in Table 5.8. Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance8.1 The materi
