Materials and Manufacture4.1 Tubes shall be made from flat-rolled material by anautomatic welding process with no addition of filler metal.Subsequent to welding, and prior to heat treatment, the tubesshall be cold worked to assure that optimum corrosion resis-tance in the
11、 weld area and base metal will be developed duringheat treatment.4.2 Tubes shall be furnished with a scale-free finish. Whenbright annealing is used, descaling is not necessary.5. Chemical Requirements5.1 The material shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition prescribed in Table 2.
